As human beings, we have all faced sadness in our lives. How do you deal with that sadness in your everyday life?

Many days I find myself reliving that chaos and disappointment that I carry from my past. “Restart with an existing soul and a new spirit to achieve the best goal” These are words spoken every time in my heart and my mind. There is nothing more off-putting than constantly pushing myself to be successful. I have a deep sense of self-worth and belief in myself. I realized that many people were attempting to control my future with lies that defocused me from reaching my goals.

Do you ever feel stuck in your life like, like there’s no way up and there’s no way down?

At this stage, I want to invite you to let go of the bad vibes to improve your self-worth:

I Got Rid of The Negativity That Destroyed My Plans.

I feel as though many days I have goals to accomplish, however, distractions often find a way into my day as well. These distractions come in the form of social media and social activities.

Social Media.

Lots of people are addicted to using social media and use it every single day. They use it every waking hour and this keeps them from seeing the beauty of the world or missing what’s right in front of them. Many people lose quality time with friends and family while looking at their devices. Even worse, some put their lives and others in danger by using their phones while driving.

Break from social media and you will find that you have much more time for the important things. I challenge you to remove social media from your phone. This will eliminate the notifications and alerts that play such a crucial role in social media addiction. You won’t be as likely to pop one of those apps open in moments of boredom or stillness.

Write down your plans for tomorrow! You have to know what you are going to do tomorrow and plan for it. Without social media, you will be able to accomplish much more with your time.

Social Activities.

Personally, I love to learn new languages. However, I often have too little time to learn them because I spend a good deal of time around my friends. I am constantly finding balance between self-growth and spending time with my friends. I have learned that being an egoistic person sometimes helps me to value self-importance. I believe that a belief in oneself inspires human action. By saying NO and avoiding distraction, I continue my journey of self-growth and limit my daily distractions.

You have to learn to say NO and prioritize what is important to you while giving focus to your daily plans.

“Learning how to say NO is all about knowing yourself. Who you are. What you stand for. When you’re clear on this, everything else falls into place. Decisions get easier to make. Life feels more comfortable. Because you’re living it on your terms, not someone else’s. Remember, you are unique… wonderfully so. And that’s why it’s OK to say N.O.”

Take Times For New Habits (Be Productive).

As I mention above. We have to create and practice new habits.

Change your old habits that don’t impact you for the better. Then create and hone new skills that will improve you. Be sure to practice and enforce those new skills so that they are strong.
Repeat your new habit many more times, again, again and again. That way you become like a machine, automatic.

I find that a small change of pace can perk up a tedious schedule and offer a new perspective or source of enjoyment.

A couple of years ago I wasted so much time for no reason. I did not even care about my own health as I should. I was usually checking social media when I got home from work because it killed my time faster. This forced me to ignore my dinner and ruined my sleep schedule.

I realized that this caused me to overthink my high expectations and how I was not reaching them. This caused me to ask questions like “what’s wrong with me?”, “Why am I like this?”, and “Why I cannot be happy and success like people out there?”. I tried to get to the bottom of this. Which is the cause of the emergence of my anxiety. I found this damaged my self-worth and drive so I cut it from my life.

On the other hand, I’ve been learning how to change my lifestyle & my environment to create positive habits. Some people tell me “habits are not always easy to create” and I believe this to be true.

But, that statement doesn’t make scare me anymore. I now even find it easier to form good habits. I think without any form of change, we lose the ability to make any difference. Therefore, I believe the changes that I desire must be made. Someone once told me “once you start a habit, it is hard to stop!”. This has led me to conclude that the sum of our habits represent our character which is who we really are. Our habits and emotions help to form our daily routine and goals.

I’ve been under so much pressure of my work but I am trying to keep stress-free. Therefore, I’m doing exercises for 30 minutes after work. While I am not doing it every day, I shoot for 4 days a week (this is one of my new habits). After I take a shower, checking my emails and read some articles. This is all done over a cup of hot chocolate to make my body, mind, and soul better.

I always have a mindset on with very big dreams and I keep my goals in sight. I need to create habits that will help me reach my highest potential. It is never too late to reinvent myself and I need to take action to make it true. When I look at who I am around, I believe it tells me a lot about who I am, where I am going and why my life is exactly where is right now.

Care About Your Soul.

Care of your body and your soul is necessary and important for a happy life. A morning person may find this difficult.

Every morning put yourself in a space of gratitude and clarity. You will attract the best the world has to offer and not get distracted. Meditation is one of the activities to care for your soul and your mind.

Meditate!
You can start by finding silence. Take a deep breath in and then exhale. Feel your chest move as you breathe, press your hand into your heart as you continue your breathing. When you feel your heart breathing, think of something that makes you happy or about how you can be the best version of yourself and then better.
These are things that you want right?

Therefore tell yourself and set your mind to believe, do this and make it happen now!

Think of meditation as an act of love. A deep warm friendship with yourself.

New research has suggested meditation’s role in making individuals stronger is unlimited. The study by scientists at Coventry University in the UK, Massey University in New Zealand, and Radboud University in the Netherlands, reviewed more than 20 studies that investigated the effect of various types of meditation, such as mindfulness and loving-kindness, on pro-social feelings and behaviours. Initial analysis indicated that meditation had an overall positive impact on these subjects.

The researchers noted meditation made people feel moderately more compassionate or empathic, compared to if they had not done another emotionally-engaging activity.

I have been praying when I wake up in the morning. This helps me balance my feelings of gratitude and clarity. I meditate for 10 minutes to make my mind calm and control my emotions. I drink a glass of warm water with a squeeze of fresh lemon to detox my body every morning before starting my meditation. Sometimes when I lose my emotional control, I take time to listen to music. I do this because I know it will affect my mood, be it upbeat or chill songs. Music has a way of pumping up my mood.

This is my routine and how I take care of my soul.

I’ve been starting the day with the intention to make the most out of each day. I do this by managing my time and focusing on productive things. I do not begin to give my time to things that are not worth it. Because if I do, I begin down a slippery slope of which I cannot recover the time and energy back.

I stay consistent to stay focused on my path. I struggle with my path of self-awareness because some people guided me incorrectly. It took me a while to understand this. However, my future is in my hands. I cannot allow another person to guide my path. Only I can make my future. There are limitless opportunities and possibility if I do.
