Esosa Edosomwan, the Founder of Staying Ageless Coaching, is leading a holistic nutrition practice that empowers women to naturally heal and reverse chronic conditions.
After struggling with her own health challenges, including chronic fatigue and acne, Esosa turned to holistic health practices. This journey ultimately sparked her passion for tackling the root causes of health issues rather than simply treating symptoms. Today, Esosa provides women with sustainable strategies to promote long-term healing and vitality. Her expertise extends to her books “Got Veg? How to Thrive on a Plant-Based Diet” and “The Acne-Free Diet,” and her podcast Staying Ageless, where she inspires a global audience.
In our conversation, Esosa shared the mission of Staying Ageless Coaching, how she’s regained balance during times of burnout, and the most important lessons she’s learned during her entrepreneurial journey.
What is the underlying mission of Staying Ageless Coaching? How does your work make a difference in people’s lives?
The underlying mission of my work is to create a safe space for women—particularly women of color—to take control of their health and well-being through holistic and personalized solutions. At Staying Ageless Coaching, we believe that every woman deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported on her wellness journey. Our programs are designed to address the root causes of health challenges and provide sustainable strategies for long-term healing and vitality.
We offer education, coaching, and resources that help women balance their hormones, improve energy, reverse chronic conditions, and regain confidence in their bodies. Our work fosters a sense of community and connection so that women know they’re not alone in their struggles. Seeing our clients achieve life-changing results—like shrinking fibroids, restoring fertility, or eliminating painful periods—is what drives us to continue.
Many health professionals seek me out because they want an alternative to what they’ve been taught and practiced but lack knowledge about holistic nutrition. I love how their personal transformations inspire them to view nutrition and wellness through a new lens—one that prioritizes addressing root causes rather than just treating symptoms. Witnessing these ripple effects keeps me passionate about this work.
Looking back, what are the most meaningful impacts Staying Ageless Coaching has had? How do these outcomes align with your original vision?
The most meaningful impact of my work has been helping women transform their health in ways they once thought were impossible. In my practice, we’ve had clients reverse chronic conditions, balance their hormones, and even regain their fertility. We’ve helped women who were in debilitating pain finally live pain-free. One client who had been bleeding non-stop for over a year saw her period normalize in just three weeks.
I’m now fundraising for my new business, UMI, Inc., which will use technology to deliver our holistic programs and bring relief to the millions of women who need it. Seeing women go from feeling stuck and discouraged to vibrant and thriving is incredibly rewarding. These outcomes align perfectly with my original vision of providing women with holistic, root-cause solutions that don’t rely on band-aid fixes. Every success story reaffirms that this work is life-changing and inspires me to keep expanding our reach to help even more women.
Can you share a time when staying true to your mission or values required you to slow down or take a different path in your growth journey?
In 2021, our business was growing at a rapid pace, but I found myself feeling unclear about the bigger vision and uneasy about the way the growth was unfolding. It was tempting to keep pushing forward, but I made the intentional decision to slow down. It was a difficult choice, but it allowed me the time and space to reflect, refine my vision, and ensure that we were building something aligned with our values and long-term goals.
Now, I feel completely clear about our mission and the direction we’re headed. I’m excited to expand my team and scale in a way that feels purposeful and sustainable. Taking that pause reinforced the importance of staying true to the foundation of the business while ensuring long-term success.
Can you share a time when you struggled with burnout or stress? What steps or practices helped you regain your balance and well-being?
When I first started my business and our client list was growing rapidly, I pushed myself to the limit. I spent long hours sitting without breaks in a very uncomfortable chair since I couldn’t purchase new furniture due to pandemic closures. That lifestyle took a serious toll on my health. I developed a blood clot in my leg, which was initially misdiagnosed as a sprain. Thankfully, my chiropractor recognized the severity of the issue and rushed me to the hospital.
Unfortunately, I was mishandled at the hospital and sent home with a prescription for an active clot that could have been fatal. It was only by the grace of God and through the help of a doctor friend who guided me virtually through recovery that I was able to heal. I quickly found a holistic alternative to blood thinners that assisted in my long-term recovery. That terrifying experience forced me to completely rethink how I approached my work and well-being. I made the decision to prioritize balance in my life so that I could not only stay healthy but also model sustainable habits for my clients. That shift has made me a better coach and a stronger advocate for holistic wellness.
Which life experiences have had the greatest influence on your leadership style?
Working in diverse environments—some toxic and draining, and others genuinely promoting growth, well-being, and development—gave me a clear understanding of the kind of leader I wanted to be.
It hasn’t been an overnight process. It’s taken time, intentional reflection, and a lot of personal growth through trial and error to learn how to truly embody my values as a leader. But through that journey, I’ve become more grounded, compassionate, and purposeful. Now, I’m focused on fostering an environment where my team feels supported, inspired, and empowered to grow.
How do you actively give back to your community or industry? How does this commitment to giving back reflect your values as a leader?
Giving back has always been an important part of my business. In the past, 5% of our profits were donated to nonprofits that focus on helping women. We’ve partnered with organizations like New Endeavors, which provides housing and transitional counseling for women and children, and the Betty Adera Foundation, which supports women who are survivors of violence.
Moving forward, we’ll be donating to Star of Hope Mission, an organization that focuses on helping homeless women and families rebuild their lives through shelter and recovery programs. Supporting these organizations aligns with my belief that empowering women—whether through health, education, or safety—creates a ripple effect of positive change. It’s deeply fulfilling to know that our work extends outward to uplift women in need.
“The most meaningful impact of my work has been helping women transform their health in ways they once thought were impossible.”
What is the most important lesson you’ve learned in your entrepreneurial journey so far?
To trust my instincts and never neglect my time in prayer. I’ve found that I receive the most guidance when I start my day with a meeting with the CEO of my life—Jesus Christ. These moments of reflection and connection ground me and help me navigate the challenges of running a business with a sense of peace and purpose. I feel more aligned with my vision and my decisions are clearer and more impactful. For me, success in business isn’t just about strategy—it’s about staying true to my faith and values.
