Everyone is looking for that life hack that allows you to have endless energy all day. From not sleeping well, to the kids keeping you up all night, to long hours because of a deadline-driven project, you’re tired and need energy.

The sluggish feeling you get, especially around 2–3PM is almost unavoidable and it always hits you when you really need to step it up.

You’re eating almonds, lots of greens things, drinking black coffee and you have flooded your body with water. You’re doing everything your supposed to do to pick your energy up from a diet perspective. You also went for a walk outside, took in some fresh air, and enjoyed 5 minutes of less chaos.

And you’re still tired.

But that leaves me with the question of: Do you have your music right?

I cannot function without music. It completely energies me. The louder, the better! Music can set your tempo, it can change your mood, spark new ideas, and put some life back into your body.

Headphones work, but I prefer speakers. In fact, all of my offices have speakers and subwoofers. I want to feel the music. I believe that the body actually absorbs the energy from the speakers. If you can feel it, then your body is doing something with it. Now that naturally is pseudoscience at best, but it works for me.

And come to find out, after giving many people speakers in the office, it works for them too. We went from silence and stillness to heads bobbin, smiles, laughs, and a hearing a rapid click of keys.

It really comes down to changing your mood and state of mind. Music is a powerful tool to do that. It can make people mad, happy or sad with just a few chords. Think what it can do for your emotional state just by selecting the right tunes during your day.

You watch pro-athletes with their head phones on before a big game, everyone in the gym has their headphones trying to get pumped and it works for them.

SO why wouldn’t it work for you?

Tomorrow, put a positive playlist together. Something with high energy or at least an up tempo beat (try Armin van Buuren — A State Of Trance 819 for example, its 2 hours long of pure energy) and see if your tempo and mood changes.

If this works for you I would like to know so hit me up!
