If you want to be more productive in life, you have to pick the right productivity principles. Doing so can transform the way you work throughout the day. The principles lessons from Jim Kwink can help you be efficient and manage your time well.

It’s no secret from ordinary people to consider other people more productive than them. The thing is, these individuals are ordinary people who build their productivity following three productivity lessons from Jim Kwink. Let’s  look at them:

Write it Down

Having a to-do-list should be your best friend. No one ever takes things seriously until they write it down, and it becomes part of a daily schedule.

It takes some time to get to a point where writing things down becomes a habit. But the moment it becomes second nature to you, you’ll always get things done much quicker. To make things even easier, you have to create a to-do list using a pen and paper or use an app. My point is to find out what works for you.

Studying

If you want life to have a meaning to you, then you need to study and learn. Self-education is learning about a particular skill on your own that is helpful. People believe in this myth where they have to be educated about something when they can do well to educate themselves.

The beauty of self-education is that you’ll always excel in subjects that you teach yourself. Self-education comes with some benefits:

  • It can free you from the job you hate
  • So easy to get the information you want in a particular field. For instance, there are so many online courses from programming to accounting that you can take.

First, I believe you can do it. If you don’t think you have the potential to learn things by yourself. You’ll give up soon. The second thing is, you must have an end in mind, are you learning to be an expert or get by.

Focus on One Thing

The worst thing you can do is to multitask. Going from one task to another won’t be helpful. Leave the habit and start working on one thing at a time. You may be slow at first, but in the end, you’ll get a lot done.

Focus means having clear goals and objectives and having all your energy dedicated to achieving those objectives. For instance, if you have a passion for online physiology software, that’s where your focus should be.

Even when you are deciding what you are going to do, you’ll always make decisions on how you will make progress based on those goals.

The opposite of focus is doing everything. With multitasking, you’ll work slower and produce superb work.  Studies have proven that multitasking is not that possible, and finishing one task has always been an effective way to work.

We hope these three productivity lessons will help you get things done faster and make you more productive each day.
