Number one is to forget everything you’ve been told about your body. We are creating limits for ourselves, our lives and our health by focusing on statistics and information that does not define us. We are all individuals and our choices have incredible power to steer our lives from one extreme to another! To create a new level of health for yourself, the first step is letting go of the old rules that hold you back.

The term Blue Zones has been used to describe places where people live long and healthy lives. What exactly does it take to live a long and healthy life? What is the science and the secret behind longevity and life extension? In this series, we are talking to medical experts, wellness experts, and longevity experts to share “5 Things You Need To Live A Long, Healthy, & Happy Life”. As a part of this series, I had the distinct pleasure of interviewing Olesya Wilson.

Olesya Wilson is a Certified Nutritionist, Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner, Psychosomatics and Master Coach accredited by the European Coach Federation. Her unique approach integrates cutting-edge lab testing, the latest discoveries in biological science, ancient herbal medicine, and revolutionary psychosomatic and energy healing practices to help people reconnect to their body, reverse aging, and forget about chronic health problems. Her signature offering is the Limitless Body Program, where she works with you to design a lifestyle to take your body to the next level, full of energy, passion and success.

Thank you so much for joining us! Our readers would love to “get to know you” a bit better. Can you tell us a bit about your ‘backstory’?

I didn’t know it at the time, but my career as a nutritionist and healer began in Siberia as a child helping my grandmother pick herbs in the forest. She helped everyone in the village as a healer since other medicine was hard to come by during the Soviet era. I moved to the United States to study Linguistics and earn my Masters degree. When I began studying my own health, the old experiences from Russia came back to me and I realized how much had followed me West. From Kombucha to Shilijit and Methylene Blue, biohackers and health professionals are using supplements and remedies that I had first seen as a child on the other side of the world!

So you might be wondering what caused a woman studying Chinese to become a Nutritionist and start her own business? When I met my husband and wanted to have children, I went to doctors for help with my problems getting pregnant. They diagnosed me with infertility, endometriosis and a list of other chronic conditions. I was devastated, but I could not believe that surgery was my only chance at possibly having kids of my own.

I began my own personal journey at 30, studying the latest information from experts across the world, pursuing any lead I could find to reclaim my own health. I worked to heal myself and earned my own certifications to become my own health practitioner. Now I am a proud mother of two beautiful children that I had without surgery of IVF.

Can you share with us the most interesting story from your career? Can you tell us what lessons or ‘takeaways’ you learned from that?

My experience led me to question everything we accept about chronic illness and permanent conditions in the West. There are so many miraculous stories of healing from all corners of the world that I cannot help but think our bodies are more resilient and powerful than we believe. So many people are giving up on their bodies, accepting the slow progression of illness as “just part of getting older.” I want to inspire everyone to take a personal interest in their health and longevity. Together I believe we can redefine aging and create a world where we maintain peak physical health past 100!

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful for who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story about that?

All of the healers and experts that I took inspiration from during my health journey. I want to take the best from every source which led me to look everywhere, for health and life. I was inspired by figures like Dr. Axe who combined modern science with ancient knowledge about our bodies and what they require for nutrition. Donna Gates and her Body Ecology studies that show how fixing your digestion creates the energy you need to create a body full of energy and potential. I was also inspired by Elena Cardone who shows how you can balance business with a beautiful, rewarding family life. Above all, these figures demonstrate to me that success does not have to come at the cost of your health, and in fact, health contributes to your success! Finally, I must mention my grandmother once more. The walks I took with her through the forest and compassion to others in the village inspired me to become a healer myself.

You are a successful leader. Which three character traits do you think were most instrumental to your success? Can you please share a story or example for each?

I would like to thank my positivity and how I will not give up on myself or my clients. When I went to doctors about my own health problems, their diagnoses did not feel right to me. I could not accept that surgery was my only option and believed in my body’s ability to heal itself. I did not give up, even though it took me years to find my way to health. I bring the same determination with everyone I work with and I refuse to believe their bodies have any less potential than mine did!

Ok, thank you for all that. Now let’s shift to the main focus of our interview about health and longevity. To begin, can you share with our readers a bit about why you are an authority in the fields of health, wellness, and longevity? In your opinion, what is your unique contribution to the world of wellness?

When I began my health journey, my goal was to cure my infertility. A side effect of all my studies, 10 years later, is that I feel like I have my best body ever. Even at 20 I don’t believe I was as healthy, or looked as good as I do now. My work with my clients has shown me this same transformation is available to other men and women as well! Most surprising is the speed your body can recover from decades of neglect and abuse. Most of the people I work with are able to see these results in two months, not the 10 years I spent. If there is one thing I can give to readers, it is the hope that healing is not a matter of years, but weeks when you work with the right professionals!

Seekers throughout history have traveled great distances and embarked on mythical quests in search of the “elixir of life,” a mythical potion said to cure all diseases and give eternal youth. Has your search for health, vitality, and longevity taken you on any interesting paths or journeys? We’d love to hear the story.

When I started recalling lessons from my childhood, it struck me how much research and knowledge had been collected during the Soviet era in Russia. The fall of the USSR shook up so much, and many of the amazing rumors I had heard during my childhood seemed forgotten. I have used contacts in Russia to dig up old studies and research done by the Russian Space Program and Kremlin into life extension and health. Many of these scientists were silenced or disappeared once their research became inconvenient to those in power, but the wealth of data they left behind is still available if you know where to look.

The Russian philosophy applied to health took from all aspects of Western and Eastern science and goes beyond just physical healing. It includes studies on mental and spiritual practices that all contribute to our long term wellness.

Based on your research or experience, can you please share your “5 Things You Need To Live A Long & Healthy Life”? (Please share a story or an example for each)

Number two is to absolutely believe that your body is an amazing, powerful vessel that we do not fully understand. Even with all of our studies and centuries of science, we have only scraped the surface of our potential. Use the stories of miraculous healing and impossible recoveries as inspiration to believe that you can heal and stay healthy far longer than anyone thinks possible. Know you can be limitless! If you cannot believe this possibility, your mind will stay trapped inside the life you have now!

Step three is reconnecting your body to it’s foundation of natural health. I like to call this your Tree of Life. Most of us have spent years losing our connection to our body. We begin to feel numb to the world around us, and joy is slowly replaced with aches and pains. I firmly believe this is not part of aging, but the beginnings of illness that will eventually affect our brain, heart and more. When we reconnect with our body, it can start healing us naturally in a constant process of renewal.

The fourth step is to then supercharge yourself with nutrients and minerals that our modern world is no longer able to provide. Industrialized agriculture has taken great strides to provide us with everything we could possibly desire in developed countries. Unfortunately, this has come at a hidden cost. Our digestion is compromised and many of the foods we enjoy no longer provide the minerals they used to. Minerals are the building blocks of all of our hormones, the chemical signals our body uses to do it’s job. It can be tempting to start here, with supplements, but if you skip step three, your body may not be able to use them properly. When you fuel an imbalanced body, the supplements you take may do nothing or contribute to a toxic environment!

The final thing is to awaken your body’s new potential and use it! The greatest things on Earth mean nothing if they are never touched, seen or appreciated. When you have created a healthy, beautiful, new body the next step is to realize it, and explore how you can use it! This is the most exciting part where you enjoy the body you have created.

Can you suggest a few things needed to live a life filled with happiness, joy, and meaning?

As a psychosomatic practitioner I appreciate how much of our life is defined by the perspective we use to interpret it. Many things that irritate and make us unhappy are not a real problem if you sit down and think about why they are bothering you. This is a big part of why I focus on visualizing your desired outcome. When you really meditate on your life and what is important to you, you may discover that you are close to where you want to be! If there are big changes you want to make, get started! Each step you take to a new, ideal outcome will bring immense satisfaction.

Some argue that longevity is genetic, while others say that living a long life is simply a choice. What are your thoughts on this nature vs. nurture debate? Which is more important?

While everyone is quick to talk about genetics and how we inherit traits from our parents, I have not heard many people talking about the other aspect of our health that is passed to us at birth. When we are born and grow, we inherit the bacteria and other organisms that our parents have in their gut. Everything we eat and drink is torn apart by the environment in our digestive system and used to build the body we live in today. Every 6–8 years your body has renewed itself with totally new cells that are built entirely from your nutrition!

You can see how important your choices are, from the food you eat to how you treat the foundational organs in your body! Your liver, pancreas, gallbladder, kidneys are all responsible for building a strong brain, heart, lungs and muscles. If you neglect part of your body, you are knocking down one of the pillars holding up your health.

Life sometimes takes us on paths that are challenging. How have you managed to bounce back from setbacks in order to cultivate physical, mental, and emotional health?

I have always acted to create my desired outcome. If you believe your situation is out of control, you are performing the role of a victim. For some, this gives them a sense of comfort, that they do not need to do anything, everything is out of their control. I do not understand that perspective at all. Taking my hands from the wheel and letting a car drive itself down the highway would be one of the most terrifying things I can imagine!

I encourage everyone to be a Warrior! Take responsibility in your life and know you can create your perfect future! If you experience a setback, you probably have an idea exactly what you need to do next! Take comfort in that and enjoy the adventure. Why are we on this Earth if not to experience everything life has to offer?

Can you please give us your favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Do you have a story about how that was relevant in your life?

I have a simple saying that has become my favorite over time. It is, “imagine how it can be better!” One of my favorite mental exercises is to forget about your next step and instead visualize your dream destination. What do you want? When you answer that question, begin to feel that reality. Don’t obsess about action items, checklists or the path forward. Feel that you are already there. How would you act? What would you say? How does it feel? Now let your subconscious guide you forward! When you know what you want so well you can feel it, you will start manifesting it with the choices you make.

You are a person of enormous influence. If you could start a movement that would bring the most amount of good to the most amount of people, what would that be? You never know what your idea can trigger. 🙂

My mission is to start the Limitless Body Movement. The goal of my work is to disrupt the mainstream concept of health we have settled with in modern life. I want people to know they can make huge changes to their body with simple actions available to everyone. We are not trapped by the body we have today, but we can create a whole new life for ourselves by changing what we eat and being mindful of the products we use. You don’t have to be millionaire or billionaire to invest in your health.

Surgery and medication are not the cheat codes to health that we treat them as these days. Everything your body needs to be healthy is already there. You can avoid life changing illness by understanding your health and taking action to give your body what it needs to support you. The tests and insight we have into our body have never been more powerful and what we learn from each advance proves that healers of the past had discovered powerful practices that still work today!

Combining this modern understanding with ancient remedies that have stood the test of time and delivered proven benefits for hundreds or thousands of years is a powerful strategy. I see no reason we cannot maintain peak health for a hundred years when we work with our body as a partner. I like to call this my 30/120 strategy. To live in the healthy body of a 30 year old for 120 years!

What is the best way for our readers to continue to follow your work online?
