“Does this step take me closer to or farther from my dream?”
Whether you write down your goals or not, I bet you have dreams. Dreams of what you want to be, do, and have in your life.
Those dreams are destinations.
How do we get to a destination in the shortest amount of time and with the fewest breakdowns and detours?
Google Maps of course.
The point is, our dreams are no different. We need a Google Maps equivalent to get us to them.
This is especially important if you’ve been disappointed in reaching your dreams in the past.
First, write down what you want in your life.
What do you want your health to look like? Your relationships? Your career? Your bank account? Your spirituality?
There are no rules here. Make your dreams whatever you want them to be.
There are no limits in our dreams, right?
Now, use that list as your guide every time you make a choice or a decision.
Say yes only to things that will get you closer to those dreams.
Ask yourself this question:
“Does this step take me closer to or farther from my dream?”
Don’t work on anything if you can’t see a clear line from the activity to your dream.
It may not be a straight line, but it needs to point you in that general direction.
Big dreams don’t just pop into existence by accident.
Small and consistent steps get us there.
Turn by turn, mile by mile, you’ll get to your destination.
Happy travels!
