This presupposes a pathway: conception before delivery, sowing before the harvest, noise to rhythm, chaos to clarity. – Taiwo Adepoju.
WHAT IS ORDER? IT IS A VIRTUE. In other words, order is the arrangement or disposition of people or things in relation to each other according to a particular sequence, pattern, or method. Benjamin Franklin, one of the founding fathers of America, created a small book in a bid to help him develop his character. In that book were 13 virtues, with ORDER being the third. He opined that there is an external force that deters men/women from being organised. This force is known as entropy, and it actually explains why it is usually practically impossible for most people like myself to make our beds in the morning or properly place our clothes after use. Interestingly, this is applicable to most men. Order is indeed a virtue which is mostly treated mundanely yet carries grave implication in our pursuit of mastery. The sequential PRECEPT UPON PRECEPT, LINE UPON LINE idea provokes a clear understanding of the need to have our lives organised. As our priorities are being discovered and designed in this action learning immersion programme, it is my belief that it will bolster our drive to bring order to our personal affairs, business thoughts, and even our belongings. We must determine to live an orderly life devoid of waste -- i.e. waste of time, energy, and money. When we rid ourselves of waste of the aforementioned resources, we soon start to reduce the consequences of stress and distractions, and we can then optimally enhance our mental as well as physical health. ONE OF THE SECRETS TO A MASTERY OF OUR LIVES IS ORDER. And this can only be sustained by a DO IT NOW mentality. [STOP PROCRASTINATING] There is only an extent you can go with organisers, diaries, and schedulers on your devices. The real medicine for entropy [lack of order or predictability; gradual decline into disorder] is to take the COW by the horn. It is all about taking PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. It is high time we started cultivating the DO IT NOW mentality by DOING IT NOW: not tomorrow, not later today -- but NOW!!! However, if you cannot do it now, note it down. This is a good reason to keep a small notepad close by.
Stephen Covey reaffirmed this fact in his book, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, when he posited that Getting Things Done is one of the elements of being Highly Effective. Introduce order in your life and experience exponential growth.
