I identify as a liberal democrat. This list is an evolving document on engaging with our government.
Today: share The65 an action list that’s WAY more comprehensive than this one. Their home page: Over 65 million Americans rejected Donald Trump on Election Day. What if we came together every day to fight for our vision of a diverse, inclusive America? Together, we can use our voices to remind Congress that they work for all of us.
We are The 65. Join us and call your legislators today!

Yesterday: Talk to my representatives about gag orders. Science.
I sent emails, the switchboards have been busy. I asked to know whether or not my congressman (a Republican) and senators (Democrats) are committed to working to stop this disruption to work and shared knowledge. I believe I deserve an honest, direct answer on their positions, what they are doing, and what they believe would be effective in getting the gag order lifted. I asked specifically if there are any Republicans that would appreciate my support in standing up to what I believe is Mr. Trump’s misguided use of power.

Ideally: I’d like to have an app that aggregates daily action curated by thought leaders and activists. The app would have me prioritize my areas of engagement, and I would get a daily update upon which to take action. Action would have a variety of engagements, like volunteer, donate, support, educate.
