Before I formed thee in the belly, I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee the prophet unto the nations.

(Jeremiah 1:5)

Our LORD knew us before we were born. As a result, I am confident that I was in eternity before given the opportunity to come and change what the LORD sees lacking in this world.

There’s a reason why I am here today. I am not just a product of the love of my parents, nor am I a random alteration of time/universe. I am born with a purpose within me. This purpose was sleeping while my parents nurtured me as I grew up and was established in full form from the laying of hands on my head (that day I decided to make Jesus Christ my LORD and savior)

God knew the patterns of this world before sending me into it. He knew how the media, friends, family, environment will have influence on me and yet He sent me into it.

In giving birth to me, He knew that I won’t remember His kingdom as birth brings forth a new creation of an innocent mind, of complete purity; yet He sent me into it. In doing so, He ensured that I will have the Written Word with me, friends, parents and relatives that will teach me of that kingdom I have no idea about. Confidently, I was sent into the world. He also gave me a mind and a soul with the power of free-will and wants me freely to choose to follow Him. He gave me this power with the ability to reject or accept Him because He loves me.

Because I freely choose to follow Him, He assures me that I am fully ready to perform the tasks that He has prepared for me while He purifies me and makes me more like His son, Jesus Christ.

Because I am not from the world and my citizenship is not from the world, my standards are not from the world either. The world tries therefore to lure me to be part of it. Making me feel like the more I struggle to win the prize for which Christ has won for me, I feel more like I am far behind it.

In the written word, the LORD guarantees me that if I go through this battle on my own, I have lost before even starting but if I rely on Him, the battle is won even before it has begun for the weapons we use are not from this world but are strong enough to remove strongholds that rise against our freedom in Christ.

Therefore, we are foreigners in this world, foreigners from a foreign land whose patterns do not conform to the patterns of this world. But we are called and ordained with a purpose for which we are to accomplish if we cling on to God, through Jesus Christ our LORD.

We are given a written word (BIBLE) to help us fight a good fight of faith, preparing ourselves for the LAND to which we belong and that was given to us through the person of Jesus Christ.

When we work with Him, we shall experience true satisfaction and fulfillment.
