As the pandemic has gone on for way longer than anyone ever anticipated, and heartbreaking stories have been shared across the globe over the past 9 months, my gratitude has continued to grow for the big and small areas of my life

Pandemics and alike have a way of providing perspective on an individual level. The pandemic has prompted me to have more gratitude for basic necessities like a roof over my head, being able to put food on the table, and a steady income. This is not just true for me, but for the people I hold closest. Watching the world struggle with some of these basic needs during this health crisis, has made me ever more grateful for these staples I so often take for granted.

Basic needs aside, I have so much gratitude for the daily small activities I am able to do. Being able to live in a neighborhood that allows me to meditatively walk my dog in nature and commune with neighbors who also have dogs (from a safe distance of course), video chat, text and call colleagues, friends and family, and enjoy my iced coffee every morning to name a few.

Finally, the pandemic has also prompted me to have so much gratitude for the bigger areas of my life that I feel privileged to have remained. From the sustained care and good health of myself and my loved ones, to a car to get to places, to the privilege of being able to work from the safety of my own home for a company whose mission resonates very personally to me, I know many cannot say the same for themselves or their loved ones.
