Has this ever happened to you?

You wake up early in the morning with a long list of to-do-list and hundreds of goals to work on. The sad thing is, you don’t feel like working on any of those tasks.

What’s worse is, it’s so hard to focus on those tasks let alone being excited to do it.

Does it sound familiar? If you gave a positive answer, then tap yourself on the shoulder because you are not alone.

Everyone goes through a situation like this, even me. But it doesn’t have to be this way. There are two ways you can manage these lazy days:

  • Sit around and do nothing, which will make you stressful
  • Find ways to be productive and excited about doing each task

The good news is, if you choose option 2, the following tips will get you excited to do each task you have at hand.

1. Take a Long Break

The best way to motivate yourself is to take a long break from everything. During this period, you may do something unrelated to what you do.

I love taking a break and looking at the landscape design Christchurch as a way of finding design inspirations and maybe enjoying the landscaping beauty. Maybe you like wonderful drawing, taking nature walks, listening to music, or swimming.

The thing is taking a hobby, or vacation will get you into good spirits and mood to start working again.

2. Create Small Tasks You Can Do

It’s no secret that big task looks daunting on paper. And this can make you overwhelmed and clueless. The first thing to do is to break down big tasks into smaller tasks that you can do.

For example, let’s say you are trying to design a house for your client, and you don’t know where to start. First, you will create a series of steps you will follow.

The first step on your list can be finding inspiration from Homes by Maxim Showhomes in Christchurch. So getting design inspiration is the first step, and then you start working on it.

With each step you complete, you will feel a sense of accomplishment, and it won’t look daunting.

3. Move Your Body

The reason why you’re demotivated is that you haven’t done anything. If you don’t get enough exercise often, you’ll always feel lazy and crummy each morning.

The first thing you need to do is to work out each morning to get the blood pumping and circulating in your brain.

Doing exercises will get you into good spirits anytime. That’s why exercises are a sure-fire away if getting motivated each morning.

4. Focus On A Single Thing

Chances are if you are overwhelmed, you have lots of pending tasks on your to-do-list. Too many pending tasks are one of the reasons people don’t feel like doing anything.

What’s worse is, you can get demotivated because of stress. If you want to avoid this, focus on one single task until you finish it.

5. Reward Yourself

Studies reveal that people are willing to do a task if they are provided with a reward after finishing it.

What that implies is, you can set for yourself a reward after you have completed each task. There are many things you can do, like relaxing in a warm hot water bath or taking a glass of wine.
