Dearest readers, addictions, nowadays, are unfortunately widely spread touching every level of our society. Addiction comes in so many forms…. alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, sex, pills, shopping, hoarding, to name just a few of the more popular ones, the ones that may enslave many of us, no matter from which background we are coming from, or if we are successful, or if we are loved as when we suffer of addiction it is impossible to perceive anymore our own truth with clarity and free falling into the darkness may seem like the only available option left in front of us…

Initially, addiction may be introduced to our reality while having some fun with maybe recreational drugs or sex for example…but It is only a matter of time before some of us will start to experience the end of the fun and subsequently the beginning of the signs of addiction, transforming rapidly those first moments of experimentation into becoming an unwanted necessity to help us to keep up with life and ultimately leading us into believing that we are of course capable of handling the situation and we have absolutely nothing to worry about. Addiction is something that only happens to others—– a little voice shall whisper in our ears… distracting us from facing the truth. That no matter how much we keep indulging in our addiction, every single time we shall be left hungry for more, and we begin to spiral down into a vortex of self-deceit…

From the spiritual point of view, addiction is usually triggered by a powerful part of our consciousness that is not yet in the light, that believes it is empty, empty of love and is able to manipulate us into accepting this illusion as our normal state of being.

And this feeling of emptiness will propel us at some point in pursuing anything that may fill up that void even if only for a few moments…a few moments in which that drug, that pill, that packet of cigarettes, that bottle of alcohol, that sexual encounter will send us into a fake high or into oblivion in which somehow the lack of love shall be forgotten and instead filled up temporarily with all of our harmful choices…

But the void can only be truly healed by love returning to this part of us and not by substances, alcohol or pills etc…only poor substitutes that have no healing property but rather the opposite…

And yet, we are prone to often act in conflicting ways, not at all realizing that through addiction, we do keep love well away from us because when we suffer of addiction, this part of our consciousness doesn’t recognize either love or respect towards ourselves and therefore towards others because of feeling worthless and the more we push love away the more we shall create a bigger space for such addiction to grow together with all the negative feelings attached to it.

This deep lack of self love is simply what mainly programs directly in our consciousness the mechanisms of addiction, creating the illusion of needing to replace the love that we believe we can’t get back with something else that will obliterate the memories of this lost love and consequently leading us towards harsh self judgment because we are declaring ourselves not worthy of love.

Although, in a twisted way, we are determined to control what we feel through our addictions, convincing ourselves that is the only way to keep at bay our sufferings when instead it is the opposite action, the one of achieving a crystal clear state of consciousness that will support us the most with the dissolving of any unresolved stagnant energies that trick us into believing that there is not enough love and light within us and that we are instead dark and forever disengaged from our own heart.

And now, dearest reader, if you are bound by any type of addiction, you may wish to write them down, as with this simple act of writing the names of your addictions on a piece of paper, you may perhaps start to face them but without blame, without judgment, only love and compassion for this part of yourself that feels the void, feels unloved trying to fill up the internal hole only because of feeling so deeply the pain and the emptiness.

To properly come out of addiction it is not just a medical matter but also a question of undoing the negative dynamics from which all addictions are originated from in the very core of our being, which is mainly caused by the wound of loss of love usually buried in a part of our consciousness still prisoner of old paradigms and therefore held in lower frequencies sensing only separation…

Once we begin raising our conscious awareness, addictions will disappear forever because love and light will flood back into us, filling up all the voids and the need to descend into oblivion will not be there anymore as we shall realize in that moment that is impossible to loose the love because there is a never ending source of love in our own heart if we just let the heart gate open instead of keeping desensitizing ourselves with drugs, sex, alcohol etc…

To be an addict, is luckily only a temporary state of being, till we understand that all the answers are within us and that we have the power to say enough!!! Enough of looking at ourselves as victims, enough to give our power away to illusions and above all enough to say no to love, self-love, love for life, this precious life which is a sacred gift, given to us to live it well and not to be wasted away falsely believing that we have no light within. And yes, addiction does dim our light but not forever…only for as long as we allow it to happen…

As with everything else, we do have free will and once our conscious awareness is raised in frequencies, our choices will always reflect that, taking us as high as we wish to be without having to indulge in any self-abuse…

All my Love&Light, until next week,

Claudia xxx
