Everyone has to start somewhere on their journey to finding their true purpose. Getting curious about how our lives have ended up as they have, beginning to question what we have been told, what we have been led to believe and what we actually consider to be in alignment with our own truth can be what starts it all off…

My trigger that got me questioning everything wasn’t the life changing experience of having a chronic illness for 5 years, dropping out of university, dealing with work related stress, a bad breakup or moving countries. Although I experienced all of these things, my trigger for really getting to grips with what I wanted out of life was in fact, becoming a mum.

I’d always been a deep thinker and introspective and when I became pregnant after many struggles I was in my own happiness bubble. Yet when I shared the amazing news that I was going to be a mum, I was met with so many stories of eternal challenges and exhaustion that the impending dream life I was envisaging was quickly replaced with a very different version, much to my dismay.

It was at that point, living away from the home I’d always known, building a new life on an amazing adventure, that I decided to take charge of my beliefs and I began to believe I was capable of (even deserving of) bringing my dream life into my reality.

I think what hit me was that I was no longer going to be responsible, solely for my own mindset. I knew raising a child meant they were going to be receptive of absorbing my behaviors, responses and beliefs and realising this I had a choice to make. Did I follow the woe is me crowd and go with the majority, submitting and conceding to the potential difficulties and prepare myself for the worst, or did I instead break away from the norm and carve my own path. I chose the latter.

I made a choice there and then that I could change my beliefs, and focused on the fact that I wouldn’t be led by society’s stereotypes, rather I would craft my own experiences based on my more positive mentality and a real determination to enjoy my time with my baby. I adopted this way of being as a new mum and can honestly say I had the best year of my life.

Powered by this, I began to be mindful of my responses and purposeful in my communication and actions in other areas of my life too. I didn’t settle for the ‘norm’ anywhere in my life and soon after I began a business supporting others to do the same. I now coach clients all over the world to Consciously Create their realities, develop and bring into existence their dream lives and businesses, and most of all to help them work out how to be incredibly happy and fulfilled in their lives.

Now in my business I am proud to be making an impact each day to the lives of my clients and with my approach of Clarity through Conscious Creation it is possible to experience the levels of success that were previously considered unobtainable. I’m so passionate about sharing this approach and it’s a real pleasure to see people light up as a result.

I’m so grateful that society’s response to my positive pregnancy test, all those years ago made me stop and make a change to how I saw the world, and my place in it.

Here are some steps which I hope might help you do the same.

Walk through these steps and you’ll be more open to awakening your potential and finding your own personal success story.

  • Review your life experiences, the ones that have significantly impacted you and consider carefully
    • What did you learn?
    • What did you change as a result?

This will help you identify what you’ve been through and if you have adapted positively to your circumstances

  • Ask yourself whatdoes success look like to you?
    • Try to grasp whatit feels like
  • Recognise in what areas of your life you are thriving
  • Recognise where in your life are you compromising
  • Identify where in your life you are out of control
  • Try to identify what is currently sitting between where you are now and your vision of success. What is in your way?
  • Now consider what one action can you change to redirect your trajectory towards the success story you dream of?

Being aware and conscious of the answers to these questions can helpyou:

  • Take stock of where you are
  • Help you recognise where you’d like to be
  • Enable you to consciously create a path that will lead you to your desired outcome.

I believe we all have the power to be more in control of our lives – but the first step is the hardest in consciously creating a life we love. Often it involves going against the grain and fighting off society stereotypes or other people’s versions of ‘the norm’ – but I can tell you it is well worth breaking through this wall, to create your version of success, as living it really is a dream come true.
