A good lifestyle should make you feel good, comfortable and relaxed. Sure there will be stress at times — work, family, life. But there are plenty of ways to make the environment and experience around you more soothing and accommodating to your needs everyday. Even when there is madness and chaos, you’re pressed for time or whatever else you have going on.
Small efforts and small details make it possible. And it doesn’t take a lot to do it — a little formula and strategy, a few choice products, and putting it into practice.
We think treating ourselves is something that should only happen on special occasions, when we’re with family or friends, or outside of the home. Or we don’t think we have time — we’re single, married, raising a family, studying.
But it can be done all the time, every day. Doing so can have real, subtle impact on quality of life. And, it can be totally effortless to do.
All it takes is putting easy, tiny habits into action. You’ll be surprised at how quickly you remember and make time to do something that makes you feel relaxed, refreshed, invigorated, cared for. Especially when it does the work for you.
It was battle-tested in our own worlds here at Condiment. A mission to make ordinary days and everyday living a special experience led to everyday living and ordinary days being more in tune with our sensory and physical needs. Simple daily life became better, felt better. Things can get busy, disorganized, tossed aside. But these little elements can at least make the world around you at home or on the go prettier, more fitting, more you.
All it takes are little things like purchasing a really cool set of plates for meals, or having a beauty vanity area that’s stylish and functional.
Little visual and other sensory elements that can envelope you in comfort, style, and whatever else you need by simply surrounding you with it. It may not seem like it, but a soft blanket, or pretty vase registers with your senses. It can mean real benefit.
The main thing is to find what feeds what you need — natural candles, fresh flowers, nice kitchen towels. Put it into your world and keep it there. That’s all it takes! Living luxuriously doesn’t mean extravagance and it doesn’t have to take a lot of time or resources to do.
