midlife career change, midlife crisis, career change

With the warmer weather upon us, it’s an excellent time to move forward with all of the plans that we laid out at the beginning of the year. During the start of this fourth month, I am very pleased with the progress that I’ve made towards my 2024 goals. I have sufficiently prepared myself, gathered knowledge and resources, and am firmly on my way to putting my goals into motion.

I can credit a lot of this forward momentum to the fact that I laid out everything for myself at the end of last year. I clearly envisioned what I wanted to accomplish, and broke it down into the steps I needed to take to make it happen. I’m still tweaking my plans as I go, however, I feel like I am well on my way.

Besides that, I am also newly invigorated because of the Spring sunshine. Spring is the perfect time to pounce into action. With the warmer weather upon on, our spirits are naturally lifted. We look forward to what’s next and want to get out there and take on the world. Scientifically speaking, the rays of the sun put us in better mood. We are programmed to rest when it’s dark and get out there when it’s light. The sun rays also change our hormonal balance increasing our serotonin levels. Overall, our bodies react in an exremely positive way to the gorgeous weather.

There is also more daylight in the Spring so we become more creative and energized. It boosts our mindsets which improves our overall mental health. If you haven’t already done so, perhaps it’s time for you to also spring into action.

Here are some ways that you can take advantage of this sunny season and up your productivity and engagement levels:

  • Give yourself some goals. Now is the perfect time to start yourself moving in a more positive direction.
  • Get organized. This is your opportunity to participate in some maor Spring cleaning, to help lighten your load and cut down on clutter.
  • Work on work-life balance. Take advantage of the sun and bring some balance into your life, which will help recharge you.
  • Take control of your schedule. With a change in season, it might be a good time to establish a change in your schedule as well.
  • Set some side time aside for getting outdoors. Grab some of that extra sun and use to the rays to increase your energy levels.
  • Get social and do some networking. With everyone in a better mood, people may be willing to offer more opportunities for you to take advantage of.
  • Work on your soft skills and leadership. Everyone tends to be more social in the Spring, so use the time wisely by polishing your interpersonal skills.

With Spring already here, it’s time for you to take advantage and spring towards a brighter future!
