What’s one field that all task management apps have, without fail?

“Due date”

However, sorting your task list by due date isn’t actually very helpful.

It doesn’t help you figure out what you need to do, today, to move things along to meet their eventual due dates.

Sorting your task list by due date means that you still have to do a whole bunch of mental math, every day, every minute, to figure out what you should be doing.

It’s stressful.

Enter the “do date”.

(More confusing when spoken then written.)

You can think of it as the “next action” date.

The date when you will do the next step.

The date when you will do the thing.

And this, my friends, is a simple step, a mindset shift, on the path to a task system that actually works.

To a task system that supports you, that buoys you.

To a task system that is an engine driving things forward, not a garage where you shove all the things you don’t want to look at.

When you sort your task system by “do date”, well, then you have a system that works FOR you.

That helps you drive your day.

That moves things forward.

Task systems may not be super sexy, but they are essential to offloading the mental load.

In fact, about 90% of my clients say that building their single trusted task system together is the #1 most impactful thing we did together.

And that they couldn’t have done it alone.

They tried.

But it didn’t work.

Until we did it together.

Not quite sure you can do this alone?

Well, you don’t have to.

Time Well Spent, my group coaching program, is back.

Enrollment is open through 9/5/24 only!

Don’t let another year go by struggling, feeling overwhelmed, alone.

We can do this together.
