“Side Hustles” and “Gig Life” are just reworked phrases for the same part-time jobs that have always been around. Investing in a network marketing company is a way to develop your own “franchise” as a successful career. I believe the network marketing business model is better than the alternatives. Here’s why.

Many people dream big when it comes to a career in business, far further than sweeping up hair, or stocking shelves at night. They dream of owning a salon or hardware store; they dream of being the scrappy young company that takes it to the top, or the newest business in town that demands constant growth.

The reality is most workers in society aren’t owning or starting any type of business. Most work for employers that are built to last–or at least built to survive failures that many startups succumb to over time. Most workers will never try to start a business of their own. And for those who do, the large majority of them will give way to high overhead, lack of demand, or bad management, according to the old models of “how business gets done.”

30% of small businesses survive their 10th year while 50% survive their 5th. 70% make it through their second year, and 80% of companies with employees will stay open their first year. Overblown marketing budgets and inadequate planning are two of the four most common reasons why small businesses fail.

But these facts don’t matter to most! Many want the flexibility and financial potential that comes from being their own boss, but they lack the skills and knowledge to protect their newfound business from failure.

Network marketing provides products in high demand, backed with business experience, systems, and support that set partners up for long-lasting survival and success. This model beats the odds when it comes to experience, management, start-up capital, and entrepreneurial leadership.

For those who want to start a brand, or build a career on a globally-owned franchise; network marketing is a great way to go. It’s the franchise we’ve been waiting for. It’s not only affordable to invest in, but comes with years of experience and management to aid those who want to protect themselves from new business failure in the first two, three, or five years of starting up.

Think about it: after securing a franchise and a prime location, there’s almost never enough capital left to hire, train, and run the company; while making enough profit to market effectively. Because of this, the original dream gets swallowed up in the monthly rent for many franchises.

On the other hand, network marketing provides well-funded and backed capital, product demand, and technological resources; including personalized, replicated business websites and email campaigns. Most importantly, network marketing provides leadership, inspiration, and motivation from those who’ve already generated success in the ranks.

Network marketing“franchises” can be smaller than a KFC or Ace Hardware, but it belongs to the owner, and grows to whatever level of success the owner desires.

According to the Direct Sales Association, network marketing is “a business model that offers entrepreneurial opportunities to individuals as independent contractors to market and/or sell products and services, typically outside of a fixed retail establishment, through one-to-one selling, in-home product demonstrations, or online. Compensation is ultimately based on sales and may be earned based on personal sales
and/or the sales of others in their sales organizations.”

Network marketing, in reality, is an affordable franchise in disguise–it offers a network of independent retailers with similar, if not the same, branding and business model reinforced with ample training and support to help it succeed. Franchises, however, have an enormous buy-in often for no less than $10,000 to $130,000. Network marketing offers the same name recognition and built-in business model for buy-ins as low as $99—without territory restrictions. Network marketing also offers built-in advertising, market awareness, a comprehensive business model, and affiliate companies—all for a fraction of traditional franchise cost.

And, network marketing gives those who dedicate themselves the opportunity to net returns that match or exceed conventional franchises.

As technology, business, and the dollar changes, millions of people are expected to start their own “franchise in disguise” over the next 5 to 10 years. Network marketing is a business without walls where owners can invest their time and attention with a strong, family network to aid in their rising success.

What does your future hold, and what does success look like for your family? Individuals have the power to be in front of business evolution if they choose. Network marketing offers the power to get ahead and on top of the next wave of business in the world!
