Question: How to I love and accept my body and appearance as I age? All I see are wrinkles, jiggles… and I even need my reading glasses to see those!

Answer: I love your sense of humor… this is a wonderful key to lighten up and release resistance to the flow of life.

Just last night I was featured on Ian Shelley’s summit called Ancient Wisdom. We accepted a Live caller’s question. Basically she was becoming forgetful and would never complete what she started… digging deeper it appears this behavior was completely tied to her resisting her body aging, being overweight and feeling ugly.

Loving and excepting our body and appearance as we age, while being bombarded every time we go to the grocery store with airbrushed 13-year-olds in bikinis, can be a tall order.

Changes in hormones as we enter menopause can make us feel out of control thus your point of view and connection to your body and soul becomes fundamentally important.

Fine wine increases in value as it ages. And aged leather couch is even more scrumptious to sink into. Antiques are prized especially when they’ve been maintained well… the most valuable pieces of art, are one-of-a-kind.

So you are clearly hands down a one-of-a-kind, yes? And if you maintain your self with loving kindness, eat relatively healthy foods and move your beautiful body, why don’t we adopt the point of view that your worth and beautiful increases in value as you age? And that you are even more scrumptious to be around?

How would you dress if you knew that with every day you became more valuable? How would you move across the room? How would you open and shine the radiance of your heart? How would you smile or on a first date with a new gentlemen blessed to be in the presence of your unique one-of-a-kind masterpiece?

How could you speak to your body as you caress her with oils, creams and lotions? How could you flirt with your smile lines- proof of your decades of joyful living? How could you dress a little more wild given you don’t give a shit about what people think anymore?

How could you dance like Maya Angelou wrote, “Does it come as a surprise. That I dance like I’ve got diamonds. At the meeting of my thighs? Out of the heart of history’s shame. I rise.”

When I developed my 30 days of Living Sacred Sexy… It came from both my own commitment to heal my body shame and set free the women around me as well. Our bodies are sacred Divine temples. Our sexual life force creative energy is sacred.

When we allow this pulsating energy to move freely without self judgment through our being, we feel younger and vibrant, we dissolve anxiety and stress and we become a magnetic vortex to all things honoring and in alignment with our dreams.

And given everything is energy, the dissolving of our stress and self rejection lowers our cortisol levels, allowing our hormones to come into harmony, or weight to comes into balance, our sleep cycles to regulate, our libido to rise and our creative genius to flow.

Lean into the challenge of loving and excepting your body at any age… Lean in as you wiggle through that dark cocoon and release your limiting points of view so you can fly. Embrace that you are indeed a Divine temple, flowing with sacred sexual energy, you are a Priestess of the light, just as deserving as anyone to be here, take up space, and give your feminine gifts 🙂

I see you and you are good, beautiful and true. Great love, Allana xoxo
