It’s not a coincidence that in every Spiritual faith, the Garden is present. Interpretation of her existence is another subject. Nevertheless, she is present. A keeper of knowledge in the world, where creative imagination is natural. In her world, there is no difference between fiction and reality. Through her, they are one.

The Gardens have seen many things. Tales of love. Tales of disappointment. Those Spirits entering into a Garden of knowledge, struggling to find their way. Their purpose for being here. Re-connecting to their journey’s path for love, and the discovery of themselves in the realm of knowledge! It is of no coincidence that a return to the Garden, is taking place.

Memories of a night’s time have danced enchanted imaginations on her palette. Those walks through darkness, where nature’s music of the evening time, revealed the magic; that laid on this enchanted space. Times of staying in the dormitory stimulated adventures of wandering through the AUC Garden; at times when the campus sleeps. And even now, her presence serves as an incubator of meditation. A calming effect of an ever growing Paradise for wandering Souls; seeking to rest in her bosom.

To be in the Garden. . .a Garden of knowledge, is one of the highlights for the AUC experience. No longer can nurture be removed from nature. And the time of “ruling over” nature, rather than being immersed within, comes to an. . .end. For nature is the epitome, and proof, of knowledge. She exists. Theories and studies “to legitimize” her knowledge-base (or think tank) are questioned.

For students, staff, faculty, workers, and visitors at the American University in Cairo, the mythological Paradise has come into fruition. A resting space, after a day’s work of thinking; questioning on this very concept called. . .LIFE. While simultaneously being a reflection of that very process. She is also a resource. In her nourishment, beautification, and sustaining of. . .this Paradise.

One of the most astounding personas of her Being, is how she forces the creativity of new ideals and methodologies; those transparent within every branch of study, throughout AUC domains. Business, Science, Theater, Visual Arts, Engineering, Philosophy, Graphic Design, Dance, Fitness, Psychology, Literature, Journalism, Music, Sociology, Anthropology, Egyptology, Film. . .and so much more. Of further intrigue, is that her existence mysteriously combines (and intersects) all branches of knowledge in her midst.

The American University in Cairo is a living reality of magic. A space, where the mystique of fictional imagination takes place. In her domain, reality’s make believe has come into play.

A new semester has begun. The weeding of the Garden occurred. Bad seeds have been removed. And Maidens of the Garden have returned for the balancing of her fruits. For one Maiden, the seeds of Blackened flowers titillate on American soils. Waters of Hip Hop, Jazz, and those liquidating peculiar Gardens, move her throughout this space.
Until then. . .let this Garden. . .write her own. . .tales!
