If you do not react to the uneasiness when you face contradictions, when you face what you do not like, the whole energy is here. You are just close to the Truth.
When you do not like or understand ‘what is happening’ or you face something bizarre-you coin theories to explain it away or adjust that you will know the answers in future through religion or science or economics or tomorrow will be alright and so on. But if you have become so passionate about these questions, so serious about these questions, when you are stuck up and want to find the answers now, no explanation religious or scientific is able to assuage the pain of these questions.
Suddenly, you realize that there is no one to answer. You are Alone. From whom you are seeking answers?
Now you will touch the original pain, the original resistance, the original energy on which Life is sustained.
It is not the inability to find the answers but seeing that all answers simply give relief to the mind, cause distraction in seeing ‘what is’ ‘as is’. The need for answers suddenly drops; you become one with Life as it is. You touch the unending stream of Life.
There is essentially gap between ‘what is happening, ‘what you face’ and ‘what you want, what you think should happen’. Can you feel this gap; absorb this resistance without any comforting explanation? Life is sustained by this fundamental resistance.
You have touched the Original.
The questioner ( Arjuna) faced a dilemma whether to fight or not.
He wants to have the comfort of a flawless choice.
There is no flawless choice.
When one understands that there is no flawless choice, one is hinged on to uncertainty. There is no way this uncertainty can be solved. (This is what you may call surrender, one is helpless). This understanding relaxes the brain at the peak of energy . There dawns clarity, action becomes relaxed, comfort in itself.
