Based on a “how to make things happen study,” 100 individuals were surveyed about their career goals.

84% of the individuals stated they had no specific goals
13% of the individuals had goals, yet had not put them in writing
3% of the individuals stated that they had clear, written goals

Ten years later, the same individuals were surveyed. The 13 individuals who had goals – – even though not written – – were earning twice as much as the 84 individuals who had no specific goals.

The three individuals who had documented their goals 10 years earlier were earning 10 times more than the other 97 individuals!
