Before we start listing the most diverse colleges in California let’s try to define the term “diversity” and its meaning in this context. In this article, we will be talking about diversity in terms of human behavior at universities and colleges. When we say that a college is diverse, it means that this college welcomes all the students who fulfill the acceptance criteria independently of their determination in terms of gender, age, religion, and race, different kinds of disabilities, economic status or cultural background. Their management works really hard in order to develop new approaches and strategies which will maintain the positive attitude and prevent people from being excluded from these small communities due to previously mentioned reasons.

Our Criteria

The initial idea was to find out which colleges are the most successful when it comes to promoting students’ diversity. We have read a lot about U.S. colleges and we have realized that California has the most tolerant universities in the States so this is the reason we have chosen to write an article about them. We gathered the information about the students’ diversity in terms of socio-economic, ethnic, racial and gender determination for each college and calculated the percentage of admitted students for each category.  Here are the results.
