As a culture, we generally don’t ask for enough support. We tend to take it all on, all the time. And we feel guilty when we can’t do every…last…thing. Forget that.
Delegation is the name of the game.
At home: Delegate chores. Delegate cleaning. Delegate laundry.
At work: Delegate things you’re not great at. Delegate things you’re great at but don’t enjoy. Delegate just to get practice at delegating.
Delegate, delegate, delegate. Delegate anything and everything that doesn’t inspire you…and then some!
However, the one place where you can’t outsource things is when it comes to your health.
The one place where you can’t outsource things is when it comes to your health.
You can’t delegate exercise.
You can’t delegate sleep.
You can’t delegate meditation.
You and you alone need to do these things. You have to make the commitment. You have to show up. You have to make it happen.
You can get support along the way, but you also can’t delegate your health to your doctor or your acupuncturist or your masseuse or your spiritual guru. They are mere guides on your journey. You and you alone need to walk the path, learn the lessons and adjust course as needed.
In order to make this possible, delegate EVERYWHERE else in your life so that you can free up the necessary time and mental space to make this happen.
In life, there are few things that only you can do. Health is one of them. Make space for that to happen.
