“You are not broken. You are blooming. Every step you’ve taken has brought you closer to the truth of who you are.”
— Aline Davis, The Self-Acceptance Guide
In a world that often encourages conformity and disconnection from our deeper selves, The Self-Acceptance Guide, Aline, is a breath of fresh, grounding air. With over 15 years of experience in shamanism, metaphysics, and spiritual mentorship, she has helped countless sensitive souls, empaths, and people pleasers return to their essence. Her own journey—from chronic self-abandonment and people-pleasing to a profound spiritual awakening—fuels her devotion to guiding others in peeling back the layers of who they were conditioned to be and embracing the wholeness of who they truly are.
In this powerful and heartfelt interview, Aline sits down with Stacey Chillemi to explore the vital role of self-acceptance, the healing of the inner critic, and how her evolving body of work—including the Embrace Yourself video series, her soul-nourishing chakra journey Crystal Faery Chakra Harmony, and her upcoming course The Charis Method—is empowering others to reclaim their energy, self-worth, and sovereignty. Whether you’re an empath seeking grounding, or simply longing to reconnect with your authentic self, Aline’s wisdom provides a clear, compassionate, and deeply human path forward.
Thank you so much for joining us, Aline! Our readers would love to get to know you a bit better. Can you tell us a bit about your backstory?
Thank you so much for that beautiful welcome, Stacey. It’s such an honor to be here. I now call myself The Self-Acceptance Guide because that’s the essence of everything I offer—guidance back to self-love, wholeness, and deep inner remembering. For over 15 years, I’ve studied shamanism, metaphysics, and spiritual healing with my mentors, the Golden Hummingbird and the Universal Mastermind. But even with all that knowledge, I spent many years resisting my true self. I lived in patterns of people-pleasing and hiding my gifts, feeling the pressure to be someone I wasn’t.
Nine years ago, during a sacred shamanic ceremony, I set an intention to live my most authentic life. That night, everything shifted—my world turned upside down, and I began peeling off the layers of who I thought I had to be. That experience catapulted me into a journey of deep inner transformation, and now I hold space for others who are ready to begin that same process—especially sensitive souls who have been in survival mode for too long.
What does being a Self-Acceptance Guide look like in practice?
It means holding a sacred and supportive space where people can finally exhale, be seen, and reconnect with themselves. It begins with helping people accept every single part of their story—where they’ve been, who they are, and what they deeply deserve. It’s not about fixing anyone because I don’t believe people are broken. It’s about remembering. Many of my clients have spent their lives adapting—whether to fit societal roles or to survive emotional trauma—and I guide them through the process of unraveling those patterns and returning home to themselves.
What were some of the personal challenges you faced on your own journey to self-acceptance?
As a child, my intuitive gifts weren’t understood, so I suppressed and dismissed them to be accepted. I learned early on to mask who I truly was… That led to a life of fawning, people-pleasing, and chronic self-abandonment. I used distractions like alcohol, food, and being the life of the party as a smoke screen. I wasn’t living—I was performing. That ceremony nine years ago changed everything. I realized my spiritual team had been trying to reach me, and I finally listened. Since then, I’ve been devoted to helping others rediscover the voice within them that may have been silenced for too long.
You work with many empaths and highly sensitive people. What are some common struggles they face?
So many empaths live in a constant state of emotional overdrive. They absorb everything around them—people’s pain, unspoken emotions, even energy in a room. Many don’t realize they’re living in the sympathetic nervous system—fight, flight, freeze, or fawn. Their bodies and minds are always bracing, trying to keep them safe. Over time, this leads to burnout, overwhelm, and deep disconnection from the self. My role is to guide them gently out of survival and into a state of grounded, safe awareness, where they can reclaim their gifts without sacrificing their wellbeing.
For those who feel stuck or unsure how to begin, what’s the very first step to self-acceptance?
It all begins with safety. Before we can even begin to talk about transformation, we need to feel safe in our own bodies and hearts. A simple, yet profound practice is placing your hand on your heart, closing your eyes, and saying, “I am safe.” It might seem small, but your body responds. Your shoulders drop, your breath deepens, and your nervous system begins to relax. From there, we can start to change the narrative—especially the one shaped by the inner critic. That voice isn’t our enemy; it’s actually a misunderstood protector. I’ve created a free eBook called Making Friends with Your Inner Critic to help people begin this exact process with compassion.
Why do you think people are so afraid of change, even when they desire transformation?
Because our brain equates change with danger. From an evolutionary perspective, any deviation from the known was seen as a threat. So even when we want better, safer, more fulfilling lives, our nervous systems resist it. This is especially true for those who’ve been living in survival mode. That’s why my work is all about gentleness. I don’t believe in tearing things down—I believe in baby steps, in nurturing shifts that feel empowering instead of overwhelming.
How does your “Embrace Yourself” video series support people in that process?
Embrace Yourself: 22 Pathways to Self-Love is a 22-day self-paced video series designed to help you remember who you are beneath the noise. Each day includes a 30-minute blend of soulful affirmation, guided journeying, and simple, loving action. It’s not about fixing or improving yourself—it’s about returning to the truth that you were never broken. The series gently guides you to reconnect with your inner wisdom, release self-doubt, and cultivate daily rituals that support emotional clarity and self-compassion. By the end of the journey, many people feel more anchored, seen, and alive in their own truth.
Who is this series for, and how can people access it?
This offering is for anyone who’s ready to come home to themselves—especially those who’ve spent years putting others first, questioning their worth, or feeling disconnected from their essence. Whether you’re just beginning your self-love journey or need a nurturing reset, these 22 days offer a gentle, empowering path forward. It’s entirely self-paced, so you can move through it on your own time and return to it whenever needed.

How important is setting boundaries in this work, especially for empaths?
Boundaries are everything. For empaths, saying “no” can feel impossible because we’re so attuned to others’ needs. But without boundaries, we lose ourselves. That’s why I created a free checklist called Knowing When to Say No. It’s a tool to help people pause and reflect—am I the only one who can help? Is this draining me? Am I being respected? It’s not about building walls—it’s about creating space where love and respect can truly flourish.
Many people struggle with guilt when they start prioritizing themselves. What’s your advice?
I always say—self-care is not selfish. It’s essential. If you’re constantly depleted, you can’t serve anyone—not even yourself. The guilt comes from old programming that says our worth is tied to how much we give. But I invite people to ask, “Can I continue living this way?” And if the answer is no, it’s time to shift. Speak from the heart. Let people know you’re evolving. The right people will understand—and the ones who don’t may no longer be aligned with your growth.
What role does vulnerability play in your work?
It’s the heartbeat of everything I do. True transformation only happens when we allow ourselves to be seen—messy, raw, emotional, imperfect. Vulnerability is power. It’s not weakness. When my clients cry, rage, or admit, “I’m not okay,” that’s when the magic begins. That’s when we can truly start to heal.
What’s one energetic protection practice you recommend for empaths?
I love to visualize a golden pyramid surrounding me—with mirrors on the outside. This structure allows only love and authentic energy in. Everything else—whether intentional or not—gets bounced off or transmuted. It’s not about cutting people out—it’s about preserving your frequency. And you can even add Emerald green for heart energy. It’s a simple yet powerful tool for staying grounded and protected.
What are your coaching services and how can someone work with you?
I offer one-on-one Akashic Channeling sessions where I connect with a client’s spiritual team to receive insights, guidance, and healing. From there, clients can continue with Akashic Coaching, where we explore those messages deeply and apply them to everyday life. I also offer Intuitive Coaching—blending practical strategies with spiritual insight. Each session is tailored uniquely. My goal isn’t to create dependency—it’s to empower my clients with tools and clarity so they can move forward with confidence and sovereignty.
Do you have a message for anyone feeling like they’re too far gone or too broken to change?
You are not broken. You are becoming. You are blooming. Everything you’ve been through has shaped your wisdom, your compassion, your gifts. Be gentle. Be kind. And start small. One breath, one affirmation, one boundary at a time. You have everything you need within you—you’re simply remembering what you’ve always known.
What are three takeaways you’d like to leave our readers with today?
First, there is absolutely nothing wrong with you—please remember that. Second, your sensitivity is a superpower, not a flaw. And third, be kind to yourself. Value your energy. Prioritize your peace. Because when you do, everything around you begins to shift.
Can you tell us about your new course coming out in June, The Charis Method? What inspired it?
Absolutely. The Charis Method is a self-paced online course created especially for empaths—particularly those in midlife or navigating significant life change. It’s a living, breathing toolkit designed to gently guide sensitive souls back to a place of clarity, groundedness, and inner peace. The course was born from the recurring needs I’ve seen in my clients: the deep longing to feel steady, clear, and sovereign amidst emotional overwhelm. It launches in June 2025, and I’m offering a 15% grace-gift for those on the waitlist—a quiet acknowledgment of your inner yes.
