self care for busy moms

The biggest excuse for not taking care of yourself that I hear is that “I don’t have time”. I get that, believe me I do. But I also know that I am busier now than I have ever been before and I make time for the self care that I need. I’m not perfect, of course, but I am improving. The way that I have fit in self care in addition to my busy schedule is taking advantage of the pockets in my life.

  1. Listen to your favorite music or podcast on your commute. This is a game changer for me.
  2. Waiting for the noodles to boil or when food is in the oven.  You get the point ♥
  3. While your kids are at soccer practice. I don’t advocate multitasking during their games and performances but your kids practice a million times. I use this time to work on my to do or run errands but it would be a good time to read a book or catch up on your favorite magazine.

There you have it. Three quick and easy ways to add more self care into your life. There is no excuse not to start taking care of yourself today!
