I go to bed pretty much at 10 pm every day. My alarm goes off at 6 am. According to my sleep hub, I get about 5.5 to 6 hours of sleep. The math doesn’t add up.
Tracking sleep patterns has been interesting. What time do I go to bed, what time do I get to sleep, how much deep sleep and how much light sleep do I get? It even tracks when I wake up during the night. Let’s just say my pattern is a little wonky. It seems I don’t sleep very evenly.
Why am I restless?
- Pillow. I haven’t been able to get a good pillow in years! If my head is comfortable, my neck is not. If my neck is comfortable, my shoulder falls asleep. I’ve spent anywhere from 8 bucks to 75 on a pillow. (I returned the 75-dollar one.)
- Kitten. I have an eight-month-old kitten and a young year and a half old kitten.
They like to play:
At night. After I’ve fallen asleep.
And in the morning, when I’m trying to eek out the last hour.
Don’t tell me to throw them out of the room. Then they howl and scratch at the door once they’re done doing laps up and down the stairs and around the first floor.
When they’re not playing with each other, they are vying for my attention. The older one wants under the covers next to me but he doesn’t want to go near the younger one who is curled up on my head…on the crappy pillow. (Compounded issues?)
3. Menopause. I’ll just leave that there.
What are the simplest ways to get enough sleep? Inquiring minds want to know, so could you help us out? Comment below.
