This, too, shall pass” is a Persian adage translated and used in multiple languages. It reflects on the temporary nature, or ephemerality, of the human condition. Wikipedia

How trivial it seems to write about subjects other than the coronavirus and its implications to us all. Every day the news covers the financial disasters, the deaths, the horror, and the panic of it all.

But what does it mean to us?

Whatever you think, if it is as real as the news broadcast or an exaggeration of the real truth, it doesn’t matter. It is in times like this that we need to step up as leaders and role models to our children, families, co-workers, and communities.

Is it scary? Yes! But we, as mature adults, must set an example of faith, confidence, and courage amid adversity.

A lot depends on your mental state and the meaning you give to things. If you think it is the end of the world, it could be for you.

If you think you have the ability to overcome the situations you face, probably you will. Difficult times in history and our personal lives teach us to grow stronger and wiser if we are in the right mindset.

Do not panic, do not fear, find ways to do your best even amid uncertainty. You will learn and grow from this experience as you learn from anything that happens in your life.

Throughout history, it has been proven that human beings have the capabilities to raise, like the phoenix, from the ashes of defeat time and time again.

And remember, life is not against you — life is for you!
