When troubles arise or self-control is weak – especially in this time of #StayHome for a Good cause of protecting yourself and others from the spread of an invisibile enemy, boredom or loneliness can increase. As Arianna encouraged us to do, I am sharing some quotes that I am extremely fond of, and I suggest, as a sweet “feel good factor” for the present and future, to look at images of “when we were young”, of “old good times”, of us children and family members and friends who grew up healthy and happy: The vintage image of us will not disappoint our present self.

The first one comes from one of my favorite actresses, Audrey Hepburn, British actress and humanitarian, film and fashion icon of the 50ies, 60ies and 70ies, I loved her performance in Roman Holidays (1953). Understanding Life as being “temporary” we learn to forgive and forget faster, to reconcile with previous behaviors that we did not understand, to accept and move on. It is not always easy, but, time heals and it is also very true that people are not always on the same “time of thoughts” – meaning that , for instance, if I am ready to explain and talk through “stuff”, the partner cannot be ready, so we need to give himself/herself the time to do so. I know it is so tough, but – in the waiting time – talk (not going out for now) with your mamma about it, or your close girlfriends, it can be relieving. And watch some women portraits/feminists documentaries on Netflix (Jackie, a tale of Two Sisters, Franca Sozzani/ Chaos and Creation, Feminists: What were they thinking Documentary, all great stuff to reflect and empower yourself- also if you are alone in your room!)

The second quote comes from Albert Einstein. I am blessed to be surrounded by creative and imaginative friends, who guide me and accompany me to the Future, by talking about it and reshaping it each and every day. Change happens constantly, we just need to see it happening, and, when we are ready, Go for what we wish for in our hearts. from Albert Einstein, I especially love his quotes on imagination, curiosity and creativity. My most favorite is the difference between logic and imagination. Dreaming is Free, and creating new possibilities, imagining other ways of actions, shaping new ideas, reinventing the Future can exactly start from now. Yes exactly, from you, who are reading this post from the couch of your home.

The third and last quote, is from Desmond Tutu, South African Anglican cleric and theologian known for his work as an anti-apartheid and human rights activist. It is, of course, about Hope. Hope is the only quality that charaterizes human beings, Hope for the Present (that everything is OK) Hope that everything will be OK in the future (something to look forward to) and that we can all hug each other again soon!

Now, go into Space and hopefully everything is OK and will be OK SOON, Aerodynamic – Daft Punk & Castlebeat – VHS Full Album
