New York, New York (October 16, 2017) — Thrive Global, in partnership with The Quaker Oats Company, a subsidiary of PepsiCo, Inc., today announced the honorees for The Fuel List, Thrive Global’s first franchise. The Fuel List champions 20 influential new role models — academics, activists, authors, scientists, entrepreneurs, and beyond — who are changing the way we fuel our minds and bodies to thrive every day across the worlds of sleep, nutrition, movement, and mindfulness. The Fuel List aims to inspire and empower people to make small changes with big impact on their well-being and performance.
“We’re thrilled to be launching The Fuel List together with Quaker,” said Arianna Huffington, founder and CEO of Thrive Global. “Science shows that nutrition, sleep, movement and mindfulness should be prioritized in each of our lives, and these honorees are truly redefining the way we recharge ourselves both mentally and physically.”
“As a leader in morning nutrition for the past 140 years, Quaker has helped promote healthy hearts, provide sustained energy and inspire culinary creativity through the simple yet powerful oat,” said Sadira Furlow, Senior Marketing Director of Consumer Engagement, PepsiCo North America Nutrition. “We also recognize that nutrition is one piece of the wellness journey, so we are proud to help honor visionaries in other areas of wellness who motivate and aid people in pursuit of living better.”
Out of nearly 100 nominees, The Fuel List judges Arianna Huffington, Founder & CEO, Thrive Global; Callie Schweitzer, Chief Content Officer, Thrive Global; Sadira Furlow, Senior Marketing Director of Consumer Engagement, PepsiCo North America Nutrition; and Candice Morgan, Head of Inclusion and Diversity, Pinterest selected the 20 honorees below.
