Recently, a perspective coaching client emailed me and asked: “There are coaches everywhere. What makes you stand out with your coaching?”
I understand their confusion. Clients know they need support, but don’t know what that looks like for them. There are lots of coaches out there and many use a common program for all clients. I’m not saying that coaches with a set program are wrong. There are many types of coaching and a program can fit for certain types of clients.
What makes my approach different? My approach starts with personalization. My clients are diverse and their needs require sessions designed to fit for them. I’m developing and updating coaching tools that benefit client’s understanding of their strengths, and areas where we should apply the best emphasis.
Back to the Question
I’m a certified life, leadership, success, and stress coach, and Board Certified hypnotherapist. My unique blend of experience and expertise helps undo decades of underlying challenges.
Don’t allow your mind to set you off track by my being a Board Certified Hypnotherapist. Coaching and hypnosis are two entirely different things. When I’m coaching, I’m coaching.
For those that want the deeper subconscious work, that’s what we do. For more details, check out my popular book, “Renewing Your Mind — Perspectives of a Christian Hypnotist”.
My value comes from understanding the subconscious mind and why false beliefs hold us back. We believe the mental stories we’ve told ourself for decades. People that won’t choose to live in success do so because of mis-characterized thoughts.
The experience and understanding helps a coaching client that’s stuck with limiting beliefs. Given the personalization I use in hypnosis, it’s natural I apply the same approach to coaching.
From Tough Challenges to Resilience
For decades, I’ve navigated the often-turbulent waters of two military services, law enforcement, and later, a toxic work environment. These aren’t bullet points on a resume; they’re earned scars etched deep in understanding the human spirit under pressure.
For the last decade, I’ve worked directly with our military personnel, law enforcement, first responders, EMTs, victims of toxic workplaces and survivors of long-term abuse.
I’ve seen fear cripple, misperceptions distort, trauma leave its lingering shadow, and the effects when co-workers kill themselves. I’ve also witnessed the willful spirit that fights to rise, the courage to rewrite self-narratives, and the relentless pursuit of resilience against all odds.
This lived experience informs my coaching — it’s not theory, it’s forged in the reality of people that need help and deserve better.
Hypnotherapy — Transformative Life Centering
As a Board Certified hypnotherapist, I have unique tools that complement my coaching. Many of my clients struggled for decades. They tried traditional talk therapy and pharmaceutical options. When the underlying challenges continued to hold them back, they called me and we started the Transformative Life Centering phase.
The reality is I’m the last one they tried after everything else failed to resolve their challenges. Since we all have one liver, I believe natural options are better than chemicals that can hurt you.
While traditional coaching works wonders on the conscious mind, hypnotherapy digs deeper. In that work, we uncover and dismantle limiting beliefs and emotional baggage buried in the subconscious.
In the hypnosis phase, we build confidence with each session through personalized suggestions for each client. It’s always amazing to see clients set and achieve goals once their confidence grows. The genuine power is, even though we worked on confidence together, THEY made positive choices and they know THEY can continue.
Long Distance Coaching — A Testament to the Personal Approach
Within the first year of my practice, long distance clients began arriving. I remember the first one that traveled an hour. Then, others 3 to 4 hours, then they flew in to my little shoebox of an office. This continued for years.
Then, after the COVID period, I switched to remote sessions. Moving to the remote option now allows those who couldn’t afford the time or travel expenses. The wider diversity of clients from different locations strengthened my abilities to personalize approaches for each person.
The Long distance clients from referrals is a testament to the personalized approach and the fundamental shifts we created together during our work.
Each Person is Unique
Our world is saturated with influencers and coaching gurus with motivational mantras. I’m none of those things. I’m good at what I do with the clients I see.
Why do I stand out? I don’t lock myself in to set methods. I pursue continuous improvement through a personalized approach to help each unique person be their best.
