Thrive Global: What’s the first thing you do when you get out of bed?

Tunde Kehinde: I say a quick prayer thanking God for waking me up, giving me health and for constantly blessing and protecting my family, friends and team members!

TG: What gives you energy?

TK: My work, I feel daily like I make a positive difference in people’s lives! Plus going to gym, a good run and swim

TG: What’s your secret life hack?

TK: Taking time away from the office to read, think and plan – helps give clarity on what to do and what not to do. Also, having clear to do lists of no more than 10 key things a day.

TG: Name a book that changed your life.

TK: The Outsiders by William Thorndike

TG: Tell us about your relationship with your phone. Does it sleep with you?

TK: Yes, unfortunately

TG: How do you deal with email?

TK: I check emails at specific times of the day. If it is important, people will call or text.

TG: You unexpectedly find 15 minutes in your day, what do you do with it?

TK: Go for a walk

TG: When was the last time you felt burned out and why?

TK: Whenever I don’t take a break after too many months without one!

TG: When was the last time you felt you failed and how did you overcome it?

TK: As an entrepreneur you are always dealing with setbacks. You learn it’s never as bad as it seems at the time. Step away, reflect and get back at it!

TK: My mother always says; just do your best and have fun
