Beyond the Lines Gallery has reinvented itself more than once. Beginning as a pop up gallery, artist and owner Brittany Davis would organize shows in different venues. Then she landed a great space at Bergamot Station in Santa Monica.

For two years, she produced exceptional events, featuring both group and solo exhibitions, with live music, food, and crafts. Now that the arts center has a new owner, the gallery was forced to find a new home. Davis never skipped a beat. In the interim, she collaborated with ShockBoxx Gallery in Hermosa Beach to put on a pop up event and now has found a new space in downtown L.A.

The grand opening is March 23rd, 2018. Davis has decided to go back to her roots and will be producing four pop-up events starting on March 23 & 24. The events will continue each weekend for the next four weeks: March 30, 31, April 6 & 7. April 13, & 14;

“Pop Up’s allow me to connect with artists from people who have never been in a show before to more established artists,” said Davis. “The joy of letting their work shine boosts so many people in taking the next step and embracing the art world without so much fear and doubt and it makes me so incredibly happy to see how people can grow after getting a confidence boost and connecting with the artist community.”

Davis will also offer a rental space to artists and producers to rent out for exhibitions or art talks. She added that she is open to renting the space out for comedy nights, workshops, music events, yoga classes, charity events etc.

In addition to producing art shows and renting gallery space, Davis will be conducting her own art business workshops. She has been teaching art business workshops for the past year at Bergamot Station. “I help artists learn how to present themselves and their work in the best way through her group classes and private lessons. ‘How to Succeed as an Artist’ workshops begin on March 28, 2018 in her new downtown gallery. Davis will also be providing one on one tutoring for artists. Email for more information [email protected]

Her new space is in the up and coming Fashion District of Downtown LA about a mile from Gallery row and the Arts District. She said most visitors have said the space is so much larger than they assumed prior to entering the gallery. “It surprises everyone when you see it from the outside and first walk in because there are lots of little pockets to the space and it is very long, so you get to explore and wonder what is next.” She added that the magic of this area is endless and free parking right on the street after 6pm with the option of $5 secure lots which is perfect for night events.
