Imagine looking inside a kaleidoscope at the display of patterns and colors inside this magical instrument. What do you see? An intriguing show of color and shapes, right? Remember now, what happens when you turn the kaleidoscope. The pattern shifts, doesn’t it? And yet it’s still colorful and worth exploring again.

The kaleidoscope was invented in 1816 by David Brewster who named this new invention after the Greek words meaning beautiful form watcher. The word kaleidoscope is derived from the Ancient Greek words: (1) kalos – which means “beautiful”; (2) eodos – which means “form” or “shape”; and scopeo which means “to look to, to examine.”

Kaleidoscopes have inspired people for many years, to look at life from a different angle than it is normally viewed. The kaleidoscope is a symbol of change and some would also add “and beauty.” Dreaming about a kaleidoscope is a call for you to do the same.

Imagine seeing change as beautiful!

“Our days are a kaleidoscope. Every instant a change takes place . . . New harmonies, new contrasts, new combinations of every sort. .. The most familiar people stand each moment in some new relation to each other, to their work, to surrounding objects.” ~ Henry Ward Beecher

Change is inevitable and it’s been said that it’s really just a matter of how one responds or reacts to it that makes the difference in a person’s life. When you have wanted to have change in your life, wanted things to be different and have tried to make these changes but haven’t been successful you may already begin to realize that the only effective way to change is by changing the inside of your own mind. Suppose your unconscious mind could do almost anything you can imagine. Now suppose that you are going to embrace change for the magnificent opportunity it can unfold for you.

Visualization is one way of reaching into your mind to help achieve results. Visualizations work because they involve envisioning yourself achieving your goal. To do this, you need to create a detailed mental image of the desired outcome using all of your senses. So, find a quiet spot, where you can begin a short visualization to help you with change.

Now imagine being inside of yourself, looking out through your eyes at the ideal result. Create a visual picture of your goal… Now as you explore your creative imagination and your goal, answer these questions ….. What time is it? … Who is with you? …. What’s happening? … What sounds are around you? … How does it feel physically? Take your time, and really become absorbed in the visualization. When you are ready, say to yourself the following … “Every day in every way I am getting better and better. I am embracing change, confident with change, and seeing positive outcomes.”

Now, expect results!

While visualization can be a powerful tool and can be useful in daily life by preparing you for a variety of upcoming situations, hypnosis is also a proven technique to access your inner resources and explore your hidden ideas and insights at a deeper level. You can then change old behaviours and habits into new constructive ones, transforming your life challenges into enhancing life experience and engagement.
