Thank you so much for joining us, Michelle! Our readers would love to get to know you a bit better. Can you tell us a bit about your backstory?

Absolutely! It’s an honor to be here. I have been practicing osteopathy for over 27 years and specialize in cranial osteopathy and brain care. My work focuses on unlocking the body’s natural healing potential, helping people overcome physical, emotional, and neurological challenges. My journey began with a deep fascination with the body’s ability to heal itself, leading me to study osteopathy at the British School of Osteopathy in London, where I graduated in 1997. Since then, I’ve worked in private practice, authored two books, and dedicated my career to holistic healing. Over the years, I’ve treated thousands of patients, from newborns to the elderly, and have witnessed firsthand the body’s incredible capacity for self-repair when given the right support.

Can you tell us more about your books?

Of course! My first book, Miracle Worker, was published in 2020 and was a deeply personal project. It was written to share my knowledge with as many people as possible, beyond those who visit my clinic. It includes 75 testimonials from real patients, practical exercises, and insights into how the body can heal itself. The book was also my way of reclaiming my voice after my work was censored in 2016. My second book, Mental Clarity, was written in just four weeks because I felt an urgent need to address the growing crisis of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts. This book provides actionable steps for improving brain function, emotional well-being, and overall mental clarity. Both books are available on Amazon and have helped countless people take control of their health.

For those unfamiliar, can you explain what osteopathy is and how it works?

Osteopathy is a holistic medical practice that has been around since 1874, originating in the United States before spreading to the UK and beyond. It focuses on the body’s structure and function, emphasizing that when the body is properly aligned, it can heal itself naturally. Cranial osteopathy, my specialty, works with the brain’s protective coverings, cerebrospinal fluid, and nervous system to restore balance and improve function. Unlike conventional medicine, which often treats symptoms, osteopathy seeks to identify and correct the root cause of issues. Using only my hands, I can feel and correct imbalances in the body, allowing it to return to a state of equilibrium. It’s a gentle, non-invasive approach that can benefit people of all ages, from newborns struggling with feeding to elderly patients managing neurological conditions like Parkinson’s and MS.

When someone starts osteopathy treatment, how soon do they begin to see results?

Healing often happens immediately. Within 30 seconds of placing my hands on a patient’s head, I can usually detect the issue. Treatment begins right away, and many people experience significant changes within 15 minutes. Some conditions require just one or two treatments to trigger a complete healing response, while others need ongoing support, especially if lifestyle factors are contributing to the issue. I always emphasize that healing is a process—some people feel instant relief, while others need time for their body to adjust. The key is working with the body, not forcing it. Over-treatment can overwhelm the system, so I ensure each session is precisely tailored to what the patient needs in that moment.

You mentioned lifestyle. Do you guide patients on changes they should make to support their healing?

Absolutely. Healing isn’t just about what happens during a session—it’s a partnership between the practitioner and the patient. I emphasize mindset, hydration, proper nutrition, movement, and sleep as fundamental pillars of healing. Small changes, like reducing processed foods, drinking more water, or implementing a daily stretching routine, can have a profound impact. Sleep is particularly crucial, as the brain detoxifies during deep sleep. I encourage my patients to go to bed at a consistent time, limit screen exposure before bed, and practice deep breathing techniques to activate the parasympathetic nervous system. A holistic approach always yields the best results, and those who embrace these changes see lasting improvements in their health.

What’s one of the most remarkable healing stories you’ve witnessed?

One of the most incredible transformations I’ve seen was a teenage boy with epilepsy who was having seizures every month, requiring 24 hours to recover. After just two treatments, his seizures became drastically less severe, and his recovery time dropped to just 10 minutes. Since October, he hasn’t had a single episode. Another remarkable case involved a child with cerebral palsy who was taking four hours a day to feed. After just one treatment, the feeding time was reduced to 10 minutes. These cases are a testament to the body’s ability to heal when given the right support. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly the body can respond when blockages are removed.

Is there anything people can do at home to support their progress?

Yes! The simplest changes can make the biggest difference. Hydration is key—most people don’t drink enough water, which can cause fatigue, brain fog, and joint pain. Nutrition is another major factor; I recommend an anti-inflammatory diet rich in omega-3s, berries, and leafy greens while reducing processed foods, caffeine, and alcohol. Exercise is crucial for circulation and detoxification, and one of the best ways to do this is rebounding on a small trampoline, which helps the lymphatic system remove toxins. Proper posture is another overlooked factor—I offer workplace assessments to help people optimize their sitting positions, which can prevent chronic pain and poor circulation.

Since you specialize in brain care, what are some daily habits that can improve brain health?

Daily hydration is non-negotiable. The brain is 75% water, and even mild dehydration can lead to cognitive decline. A nutrient-dense diet, rich in omega-3s and antioxidants, supports brain function and longevity. Movement is critical—exercise improves blood flow to the brain and enhances neuroplasticity. Deep breathing, meditation, and limiting screen time before bed are essential for reducing stress and enhancing mental clarity. I also recommend getting morning sunlight, as natural light regulates circadian rhythms and improves sleep quality.

What keeps you personally motivated in your work?

The transformations I witness every day keep me motivated. Seeing someone go from chronic pain and despair to vibrant health is incredibly rewarding. I also practice what I preach—I prioritize my own well-being, ensuring that I am in my best state to help others. When I see people regain their quality of life, it reminds me why I do this work. Healing is not just my profession; it’s my passion.

Now, you also work virtually. Can you share more about your remote services?

Yes! I offer remote consultations where I assess a patient’s medical history and guide them toward solutions tailored to their needs. I also provide workplace assessments, where clients send me photos of their sitting posture, and I analyze and correct their desk setup to prevent long-term damage. Proper ergonomics can significantly impact overall health, reducing back pain, headaches, and fatigue.
