Observing each breath without trying to adjust is a challenge. And it’s something we often overlook. In a conversation with Warby Parker Co-Founder Dave Gilboa, Thrive Global CEO Arianna Huffington says she uses mindful breathing to feel more present in her daily life.

“I just started meditating,” Gilboa says, “I find it a very useful practice to center me, and my breath. The frustrations seem to float away and I can be much more present again.”

Huffington says that in the middle of a meeting when something feels stressful she focuses on her breath for 10 seconds at a time. “It reconnects me with myself and my own peace.”
