This post is a reply to the Bill Gates’ review of Yuval Harari’s latest book in the NY Times, under the title What Are the Biggest Problems Facing Us in the 21st Century?.
To answer your question Mr. Gates, the biggest problem facing us in the 21st century is the growing human ego. We have no idea how to redirect all the extra energy that comes with it for good. Only one country has the solution: Israel.
The following is a quote from the end your article where you ask the most important question of all:
“What will give our lives meaning in the decades and centuries ahead? So far, human history has been driven by a desire to live longer, healthier, happier lives. If science is eventually able to give that dream to most people, and large numbers of people no longer need to work in order to feed and clothe everyone, what reason will we have to get up in the morning?
It’s no criticism to say that Harari hasn’t produced a satisfying answer yet. Neither has anyone else. So I hope he turns more fully to this question in the future. In the meantime, he has teed up a crucial global conversation about how to take on the problems of the 21st century.”
Mr. Gates, there is someone who can provide satisfying answers about what will give our lives meaning in the decades ahead. I’m talking about Michael Laitman, the world’s foremost Kabbalist, who can provide everything the world needs for getting humanity back on track. You can read about the fate of the world’s super wealthy such as yourself in his recent post, “Survival of the Richest” Depends on Them Saving Us All:
“Surely, the transformation of human society will require a massive socio-educational endeavor around the planet, using our media and our technologies in a new way and for a new purpose. The irony is that precisely the people like those who met Rushkoff have all the means necessary to make this happen. What they lack is only the understanding that the only way to save themselves from “the event” is to save human society as well.”
Michael Laitman
Connection Method from Israel
We have a huge reason to get up in the morning and hopefully soon the entire world will discover it. Humanity will have plenty of free time on its hands in the years ahead, and everything was designed this way so we could focus on our true mission in life: educating ourselves about how to get along here in a sustainable manner. This new type of education is essentially a human bonding method that teaches us how to connect above our ego, and rise to a higher level where we are all equal, and where our differences no longer get in the way of strengthening our human connections.
As you saw from the “solution” Yuval Harari “sprinkled” throughout his book, there is a huge wave of meditation and mindfulness sweeping the Earth, but these methods focus on the self. Michael Laitman has been saying for the last two decades that there would be a huge peak in Eastern methods that subdue the ego, right before humanity would discover its true purpose.
The next big wave will be about enhancing human connections at all levels of society, and in this we are all 100% equal.
It is interesting that people are always looking to the Jews to advance to the next stage of our evolution. This is a subconscious thing that humanity needs to become aware of on a more conscious level. The Jews of the world have a duty to unite among themselves, and provide the world with a model of a united society. In order to achieve this, the Jews themselves must become aware that we have a connection method that has been passed down through the ages, for a time when humanity would need it most. That time has come, and this is why the authentic wisdom of Kabbalah is becoming revealed in our time.
The problem is, that secular Israelis feel like this is some type of religious thinking being forced on them, which believe me, they will resist with everything they have. But Kabbalah is actually a science that is above all worldly religions, and this is a point people really have difficulty grasping.
You know all those biblical stories with all the different characters overcoming so many obstacles in life? That’s where the Kabbalists placed the code for us to discover. Beneath all that wandering around in the desert and taking over kingdoms are the guidelines for transforming our egoistic nature that we were given, into something far more sophisticated and enlightened. But no human can do it alone. It can only be achieved in a group of at least ten people.
Being extremely intellectual won’t help you either. These are affairs of the heart. Kabbalah is a process that takes our cold, stony and selfish heart and works it into something that’s actually beneficial for the rest of humanity.
So your wealth and intellect will not help you on this challenging path, Mr. Gates, but you can help a few billion other people discover why they were put here in the first place.
I know all this may sound very foreign, but you should know that Americans like yourself are joining us all the time. Jesse Bogner, a millennial New Yorker author, moved here three years ago to study with Michael Laitman. Jesse and his friends often facilitate Connection Workshop events with young Americans who are here on various programs. You can see a sample here:
I know this is a lot to take in. It’s everything humanity needs but it comes in a non-standard package. I hope you will be able to overcome any preconceived notions you may have about what Kabbalah is, and look into this further.
Just to clarify, the whole world does not need to start studying Kabbalah. The masses need to learn about the growing human ego and how we can overcome the negative forces by generating new positive forces through our connection. The world needs to receive this method from Israel.
Wishing you a Happy Rosh Hashanah from the heart of Israel.
