Many of us will wake up on Sunday morning wondering what time it really is. That’s right — Daylight Saving is back and it means the sun will rise and set later.

The change happens Sunday, March 12 at 2 a.m, when we “spring forward” an hour. On the positive side, our nights will immediately be brighter. In Atlanta, for instance, the sun will now set at 7:43 p.m., compared to 6:42 p.m. prior to the time change.

Of course, later sunsets also mean later sunrises. So be prepared for darker a.m. commutes. As the Washington Post points out, this is particularly true in cities “straddling the western edge of time zones.” Places like Atlanta or Indianapolis won’t see the sun rise until nearly 8 a.m. Most of the country, including Boston and Los Angeles, will see daybreak closer to 7 a.m.
