Being positive is not naivety. Positive people are strong in mind and spirit. By searching for truth wherever you can, you can become stronger every day. Positivity helps you live your full potential. Often negativity is not needed, usually it is just a waste. Just as in design, in logistics, or in writing, eliminating the waste is the journey to a better result.

Negative people don’t corner the intellectual market. Smart people are positive. When you question results or when you doubt in-place processes you are not being negative. You are being a good steward. Negativity is when there is reason to believe yet you choose not to. Being positive is the choice you make to find the good. Not because the bad does not exist, but in spite of the all the bad, you still choose to see the good.

Positivity is a choice. That choice is harder for some than others though! While we all have different personalities, we can choose everyday if we want to be positive or not.

Here are a few really good reasons to be more positive:

Relationships Get Stronger

“Being positive… builds, repairs, and protects.” — Kathy Caprino

You Get What You Think About

“The soul attracts that which it secretly harbors, that which it loves, and also that which it fears.” — James Allen

Positivity Creates Happiness

“The way to happiness: Keep your heart free from hate, your mind from worry. Live simply, expect little, give much. Scatter sunshine, forget self, think of others. Try this for a week and you will be surprised.” — Norman Vincent Peale

You Attract People Based on the Type of Person You Are

“Practice being the kind of person you wish to attract.” — Wayne Dyer

Your Performance Will Skyrocket

“Positive thinking will let you do everything better than negative thinking will.” — Zig Ziglar

You Can Help More People

“Positive thinking is more than just a tagline. It changes the way we behave. And I firmly believe that when I am positive, it not only makes me better, but it also makes those around me better.” — Harvey Mackay

Now, the hard part. How do you do it? How do you be more positive?

There are 3 things you can do every day to create a more positive mindset:

1. Focus on Gratitude — The more we are thankful what we have, the more positivity we will create in our lives. Gratitude is the key to unlocking unlimited positivity. Be thankful for every situation and what you can learn. Be thankful for every relationship. Write down every day what you are thankful for.

2. Remember Past Success — Visualize your previous wins. Memories are powerful. As you focus on what you have done well in the past, those positive emotions overtake you. Remember and live in those moments. The more you think about past success, the more likely you are to repeat it. Create that cycle.

3. Let Go — Let go of comparisons. Let go of caring about what others think about you. Let go of worry. Let go of controlling others. Let go of negative thoughts. As you let go of the things that hold you down, you will begin to soar and reach your potential.

Being positive is hard work. It takes conscious effort. The effort is worth the reward. As you are more positive, your emotions will transfer to those you come into contact with. As you improve, you will lift others with you. Be positive so you can change your life. Be positive so you can change the lives of others.
