Remote workers are more productive. They’re more affordable (adiós overhead expenses!). They’re simply, we like to think, the best. So why is it that the most talented and those with the best work ethic are so attracted to taking remote jobs? We’ve got a few ideas.

Remote working provides flexibility, and if you’re a creative type, you thrive on this freedom.

Some of the most brilliant innovators of our time have been renowned as much for their creativity as for their skill. You know the expression “think outside the box”? Well that can be hard to do when you’re stuck in a cubicle day in and day out.

For those who have a creative itch to scratch, the idea of remote working is something that excites them and quickly draws them onboard. While it’s important for everybody to have structure in their work life, that structure doesn’t need to be imposed by an employer. The most successful workers are attracted to the fact that they can create their own workday on their own terms as a remote employee.

Location doesn’t prove to be a problem, which means that those who take remote jobs are in it for a long haul.

Many times turnover rate can be a huge problem in small businesses and large businesses alike. It takes time to train new employees and go through the hiring process every few weeks, months, or years. The type of candidate that is drawn to remote work is one that knows he or she will be able to stick with a job for a longer run.

Because remote work doesn’t limit candidates to one city (or country, for that matter), candidates who apply for remote positions know to take the commitment factor much more seriously than a location-dependent position. A serious candidate means some serious work.

Simply put, remote working is the way of the future, and the best and brightest are always going to be following the trail of tech.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, remote work is the way the future is going. In 2016, 43 percent of Americans reported working remotely at least part of the time, and that number is only continuing to grow. Technology leads the way for change, and if you’re interested in being in the action, then remote work will be a natural attractant.

We’ve listed three huge reasons that we think remote work excites and attracts the best employees, but we’re curious to hear what you think. Let us know by sharing your thoughts with us on Twitter or showing us what your remote work life looks like by tagging us on Instagram!
