Whether you like it or not, AI is here to stay, and it’s actually a really good thing. Artificial Intelligence will impact almost all industries in some form or another from banking and finance to art and creation. But don’t be afraid because this shift will have many positive implications for our society as a whole including significant advances and innovations in education, healthcare, commerce and more. Need proof? Thanks to AI we can now predict whether someone is positive for COVID-19 just by uploading an audio recording of their cough! We can also spot defects on the manufacturing line, and ride around in self-driving cars. Isn’t that amazing?

And, if that’s not enough, here are some other reasons why you should embrace AI and not be afraid of it:

  • It will actually create jobs. I know that there’s a lot of hype about all of the jobs that will be lost to robots, but for as many as we lose, there will be many more tech jobs created. Plus, the robots are not taking over anytime soon.
  • AI can actually cut down on busy work and make your job so much easier in lots of ways.
  • Generative AI can explain things to us in a way that makes sense to a variety of individuals.
  • AI helps people do their jobs more effectively, and is not something we need to compete with.
  • It makes us better schedulers and planners, and saves time.
  • AI can help detect fraud and other problems and errors.

That’s just the tip of the iceburg. There are so many more reasons- too many to list. In order to start embracing AI and making the most of it, here are some things that you can do:

  • Consider the ethical perspectives when thinking about AI implementation in your organization and life. Train others to make similar analyses.
  • Brainstorm about how to thwart any negative issues associated with it such as plagiarism and lack of creativity.
  • Educate others about AI and how it can help.
  • Celebrate its countless benefits to our world. Do a little digging here and you’ll be surprised.
  • Brainstorm about the many ways that humans will still be needed to work alongside AI.

When you start looking at all of the upside associated with AI, you will embrace it even more and realize the positive impact that it will have on many aspects of our lives.
