I’ll never forget when my beautiful Aunt Carol was terminally ill. She knew she didn’t have much time left.

Near the end, we were looking at some old family photos. We came upon one of Aunt Carol in her garden with a big smile and a floppy hat.

She said, “I look pretty in this picture. I never in my life thought I was pretty.”

My heart ached. I loved her. She had always been beautiful to me.

She taught me more than one lesson just by living her life.

Yay! I’m the Old Maid!
Why Your Happiness all Depends on How you Look at Thingsmedium.com

Beauty is a spiritual quality. It’s independent of your facial features, your weight, your age, or your abilities.

“The recipe for beauty is to have less illusion and more Soul” — Mary Baker Eddy

We all know glamorous people whose actions and personalities make them ugly.

We all know people who don’t fit the current standard of what’s considered pretty or handsome, but they radiate a magnetic attraction that makes them beautiful.

Beauty doesn’t come from a bottle, a procedure, or a magic potion. It radiates from who we are.

Love, kindness, compassion, curiosity…

Integrity, passion, wonderment…

Strength of character, authenticity, and vitality are some of the things that look beautiful to me.

Pay more attention to your beautiful qualities and less time worrying about what you see in the mirror.

It’s Soul within you that’s beautiful. And that beauty is eternal.
