I’m declaring 2019 “The Year Of The Relationship” because when you have healthy relationships, you’re more productive, happier and more likely to share those feelings with the world – which is exactly what we need right now. By focusing on you and your relationship success, you will thrive.

Here are 4 ways to increase your productivity through your relationships

  1. Love Yourself! Self-love is a thing. And it’s becoming more and more of a thing everyday. For so long we were a society mainly focused on work, work, work until we hit the wall. Moms felt like they had to keep all the balls in the air or they would be perceived as “failures” at motherhood. Men felt like they had to work extra late in order to provide the lifestyles they thought they wanted. Millions of people fell victim to the work mentality that they lost their sense of self along the way. Research shows that when we have the opportunity to focus on ourselves for as little as fifteen minutes a day, our productivity increases. It’s as simple as reading a book, going for a walk, or disconnecting. Do something every day that focuses on YOU so you can increase your productivity in a positive way!
  2. Talk about it! This may seem like a no-brainer, but let me tell you, if you’re not communicating with yourself and your people, everyone is going to suffer. Become a great listener and a good talker so you can express yourself in a way that engages and encourages positive dialogue. Being able to share your thoughts and feelings with the people you love the most will strengthen your relationships and boost your confidence. When you’re in a state of bliss, nothing can stop you!
  3. Mindset Matters! If you believe it, you can achieve it – something I say to my kids all the time. I totally subscribe to having a positive mindset routine. It really is a game changer. Stop looking at the glass half empty and fill it up! Find a daily exercise that works for you in the mindset arena and stick to it. Reciting positive affirmations, dancing to upbeat music and meditation are all things I do to stay positive every day. Positivity is infectious, especially in your relationships. When you’re happy and spreading joy, others will follow suit.
  4. The Power of Touch! It’s a fact that we need human connection in the form of touch. Intimacy in all of our relationships is so important. It symbolizes so many different things: comfort, support, and love to name a few. When we’re showing affection for another human, it increases endorphins and results in more happiness in our relationships. So hold hands with your kids, hug your friends, kiss your partner! You’re sure to bring a smile to a face while you’re increasing your productivity!

Yes it takes work to have successful relationships. But they are much easier to navigate when you’re feeling happy and productive. So make sure you’re taking the time to focus on keeping your relationships in a state of bliss! Go out and spread some love!
