Listen to this 15 minute guided video before bedtime tonight.

We’re often surrounded by stimulating material before we attempt to lie down and go to sleep. Whether it’s our phones, TVs, or work — all of it spurs our brains to keep working when it’s time for a restful, deep sleep. When getting good zzz’s, it’s important to be proactive and make the necessary shifts needed to prepare yourself for rest.

Meditation allows us to release inner-conversations and embrace calm before going to bed. Intentionally shifting gears and focusing on downtime can help us to receive the most from our nighttime rest. Taking time to reflect on your day and your evening rest can help you sleep with more ease.

My personal nighttime ritual involves turning off every electronic device I own at the same time every night. I even unplug the wifi. I find that this simple action of keeping the electronics off in the evening and the morning helps to establish a much deeper calm and focus throughout my day.

For a few extra tips on how to create a meditative space before bedtime, take a listen to the video below. It includes a relaxing guided meditation for deep sleep. May we all have restful sleep and sweet dreams.

Love, Sura
