Albert Einstein Gave Us The Solution For Many Of Today’s Problems

“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.“ – Albert Einstein

In the era of the internet and social media we compare each other to so many people in a matter of seconds. We see people looking a certain way or achieving something and feel bad about ourselves because we don’t look like them or don’t have what they have. Don’t get me wrong, I love that we are so connected, and I truly believe this is one of the greatest eras to live in. But we need to know how to use those tools in a way, that they support our dreams and don’t distract us from them. Comparing yourself to the Kardashians or Justin Bieber or Tony Robbins or Bill Gates is frankly nonsense. What do you really know about those people? Do you know their entire story and know what they have been through, in order to get where they are today? People often want what other people have. They want the results, but there is a process behind this. When we admire someone and feel like we are a failure, we need to ask ourselves, what we have in common with this person. Also, do we only love the outcome of a movie star, let’s say being seen in the movies and having money. Or do we also love the process behind all of this? Do we want to spend hours filming all of that, with all it takes? Do we want to spend years going to auditions, being dismissed time after time after time, until we get the one movie that will kickstart our career? Do you want to own your own island and inspire millions of people worldwide, helping them to be happy, like Tony Robbins? Do you also want to put in all the work he put into this career before he was there and all the work he puts in every single day?

This is not about accusing anyone to be lazy. We need to love the process. We need to find something, that we love doing every day. Day in, day out. Whatever your goal is. Find an idol which you can learn from but always go your own way. Comparing ourselves to others, becoming jealous, being sad & disappointed without seeing the whole picture is nonsense. Admiring the monkey climbing up the tree as a goldfish and feeling like a failure, doesn’t make any sense. You have strengths. We all have them. Don’t believe anyone telling you, you are not worth it or that you are stupid. Never listen to those people, rather cut them out of your life. Find your way. Find what you are good at and you will find a path to live a fulfilled life, as a genius or simply a happy person.

„Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.“ – Albert Einstein

Probably you have heard about forest bathing, it is all over lately. It is basically a mindful walk in nature. Activating all senses, being mindful, being in the present moment – one could say a form of meditation. It is said and partly scientifically proven to lower stress hormones in the body, lower high blood pressure, help with depression and the overall health. Though science can prove some of the positive effects of nature on humans, they can’t tell how it works or what happens exactly. Fact is nature has the ability to heal us. And being in nature, observing it, gives us a lot of answers to a lot of questions. Nature is always generous. It gives without expecting something back. Things take their time. You might not see the grass growing from one day to another but after a week or two the grass obviously did grow a lot. Sometimes when we feel stuck, when we feel like whatever we do is simply not enough, it is possible that we simply don’t gave it enough time to grow. Some processes take more time than others. And even if it sometimes seems like nothing is changing or evolving, it is. We just need to give it some more time until we see the results. Nature goes through cycles. The four seasons. One could say it looks cruel like the trees lose all their leaves in fall and how sad nature looks like throughout winter, almost dead. During spring it looks like a beautiful rebirth of everything. Little flowers and leaves and birds coming back, until it is summer, and everything is green, vivid and shining bright! And then it starts all over again. Life is not meant to be lived in a steady line. Our heart rate is a symphony of ups and downs, when our heart rate shows a steady line – that is death. Ups and downs are a crucial part of life. Change creates balance and growth. Nature doesn’t work against each other. They create a balance, so that every being can exist. Except for the human being who does a terrible good job at making it hard for some beings of this eco system to coexist next each other.

There are many more examples and observations one can get from nature. After all, we are nature. Einstein is right when he says that we’ll understand everything better when we look into nature. Whether that’s nature around us, or simply taking a closer look within.

„A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.“– Albert Einstein

Being afraid of failure seem to be an epidemic, in a world where we don’t have to be afraid to lose the fight with a mammoth anymore, we fear failing at things that won’t even kill us or hurt us. People want to be the best, they want to be perfect, without flaws, they don’t want to be vulnerable. Failing while chasing our dreams. Failing at what everyone else seems to do so easily. Failing even no one sees it but ourselves. Failing is some people’s worst enemy, causing them sleepless nights. When failing actually is a natural part of learning. Learning to walk, takes a human hundreds of failures. Kids spend more time getting back up from the floor after they tried to walk than, actually walking. At least in the beginning. But do you know anyone who stopped in the middle of this learning cycle and therefore doesn’t know how to walk? No. They try it over and over and over again. And bey they, I mean YOU. You grew up failing over and over again, but you also succeeded eventually! Failing doesn’t have to be the end of the game. It is just one lost round. We can learn from them. It helps us to know what we need to work on, what we can perfect, what we need to change, where to focus on. Just playing things safe, is that what life is for? Life itself is not safe. We never know what happens. Life can change within seconds, no matter how much we try to protect ourselves and keep things away from changing. Change is the only constant in life and it is essential for our survival. Change means trying new things. And those will include some kind of failure and that is not a problem, that is a simple fact and a welcome one as well, because it takes us closer to succeeding.

„A human being is part of a whole called by us the universe.“– Albert Einstein

We are all in this together. We might have our own family, our own home, our own clothes – we have a lot of things that we consider our own. And yet, we wouldn’t have this family, if it weren’t for other people to create their lives. We couldn’t live in our homes, if it weren’t for thousands of people building it, same with our clothes. We can’t exist without each other. That is neither good or bad, it just is. Every action we take, in one way or another affects the whole planet. If you run down a street, with a big smile on your face, you spread some positive vibes around yourself! You might not even recognize that you made other people smile as well. These people now run around with a smile on their face because they saw you smiling and now they come home and make their stressed-out partner smile, who then makes their kids smile. It is a ripple effect. It might be small, but it can be also huge, without us recognizing it. We share this one planet. There is only one planet we can exist on at the moment. To live life as we know it, we rely on other people’s knowledge and expertise. It doesn’t matter who we are, where we come from, because ultimately, we are a human being. That is the one thing that connects us all. And we are part of something much bigger than our planet. There is a whole universe out there, a system we can’t grasp in its totality. We also don’t need to. Just knowing we are in this together. We are connected, and we are all part of it. This makes us all equal. If you look at the solar system and everything we know so far beyond planet earth, we are tiny little creatures. For ants we are unbelievably huge creatures. No matter how we look at ourselves, we are all human beings, we need each other, and we could focus our energies to support each other and the entire universe, instead of judging who is better, more, less, bigger, taller, smaller, or whatever. We don’t need labels, we don’t need categories. We are human beings. We are beings, amongst many other beings – all part of a beautiful, vast universe.
