It’s estimated that at least one third of the population is introverted. If we count the “ambiverts” (a mixture of introvert/extrovert) who are on the introverted side of the spectrum, we’re talking up to half the population!

That’s a lot of people trying to fit in with the default extrovert-favored ways of doing things! That’s why I feel so passionate about changing the paradigm by teaching introverts how to strategize ways to move forward in harmony with their brain wiring.

Once you know you’re on the introvert side of the spectrum, you’re probably wondering why it matters. Can you relate to what happened to me?

At a large networking event, I overheard an extroverted acquaintance say she’d been looking forward to this event all day. Huh?! I’d been dreading it all day! I noticed how the more crowded and louder the event became, the more energized and outgoing this extroverted woman became, while I was feeling the very life drain out of me.

So the extroverts were thriving and I was barely coping.

When I first created a seminar business as a way to use my teaching abilities as a solopreneur, I quickly concluded that I’m not cut out to market myself, to show up and do outreach the way everyone said I was supposed to for my business. I decided that there must be something wrong with me. I wanted to hide behind the potted palm.

Manifesto: We introverts need to stop merely coping and start thriving, using our natural strengths. It starts with embracing and valuing your nature as an introvert – realizing that there’s nothing “wrong” with you.

Think about a time when you saw extroverts thriving in an extrovert-favored situation while you were wanting to hide behind a potted palm. Comment on the blog or contact me to share your own nightmare story. I’d love to hear it! (And it’ll inspire me to get busy writing the book I need to write!)
