Cultivate an attitude of gratitude

and change your life in just 2 minutes a day? Sounds like snake oil! But wait! Before you go – what if it were true? What if, in just 2 minutes a day you could feel happier, lower your stress levels and the stress levels in those around you? Sounds like a great investment to me!

Happiness researcher Shawn Achor has proven that expressing gratitude for just 2 minutes a days showed:

  • 37% rise in productivity
  • 37% rise in sales
  • 40% higher likelihood of a promotion

Achor also shares that when we express gratitude, our brains naturally release dopamine and serotonin (the happy hormones) without any unwanted side effects.

I’ve had a morning gratitude practice for years. Before my feet even hit the floor in the morning, I express 3 or more things I am grateful for.  It didn’t happen overnight – I had to continuously practice over and over again for it to become a habit.

We have all heard that it takes 21 days to make or break a habit. I want to help you create that healthy habit, so I’ve come up with a 21-day Gratitude Challenge starting this Saturday, November 9th through Saturday, November 30th.

I’ve created a Facebook group for us to connect daily, sharing gratitude and building up that healthy new habit. Each day I will be sharing tips and quotes and resources to help you create that new attitude of gratitude, and hopefully, you will share as well!
