Greta Rothschild of Deerfield, IL is the Region President of Hadassah Chicago-North Shore. A fourth-generation Hadassah Life Member, she has been active in Hadassah for 32 years. Greta served many positions in the former North Shore Chapter and Great Plains Region, including Vice-President of Fundraising, Organization, Membership and Area Vice-President. Greta was also on the National Young Leaders Advisory Council and participated on Hadassah’s 2nd Young Women’s Mission to Israel in 1997.Greta’s first introduction to Hadassah was through the Young Judaea Youth Movement. Growing up in Lexington, KY, she attended and staffed YJ camps, was Region Mazkira (President) and participated on Year Course in Israel. Her commitment to YJ continued with roles as Board President of Camp Young Judaea Midwest and currently as Board member of Young Judaea Global. When not volunteering, Greta is a passionate Jewish educator, having worked as a Synagogue Program Director, Education Director and currently teaching Religious School and B’nai Mitzvah students. She is married to Rob, a Hadassah Associate, and between them, they have four adult children, all Young Judaea alumni.
