John M. Collins is an executive coach and strategic facilitator specializing in high-stakes clients having a mission and purpose of public consequence. He is an accomplished, award-winning forensic scientist and forensic laboratory administrator, having authored two textbooks on leadership and policy issues in criminal justice. During his career he emerged as a thought-leader on the need for more effective leadership practices in high-pressure, high-stakes occupations (including forensic science) where there are high demands for intellectual, technical, or ethical excellence. Although John remains active in the forensic science community, his work has expanded into other consequential professions including accounting, engineering, law practice, aviation, health sciences, law enforcement, criminal justice, and banking. John has a master’s degree in Organizational Management and is formally certified by the Society for Human Resource Management. He is also formally trained as an executive coach by the College of Executive Coaching. He is an avid writer and an engaging speaker, delivering keynote addresses and presentations for a variety of audiences interested in his approach to "self-optimization."
