Katherine Brooks, MD. Katherine studied medicine at Alpert Medical School of Brown University and completed her Internal Medicine training at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Before becoming a doctor, she was an HIV social worker in North Philadelphia. Her academic interests are in working to understand and address racial health disparities, and developing medical education surrounding bias in clinical care. When she is not in the hospital she loves being outdoors (preferably somewhere without cell service), baking elaborate birthday cakes and spending time with her husband and 4 month old daughter.
