Luisa Ellenbogen is a Past President of Hadassah Chicago-North Shore. Her longstanding commitment to Hadassah began when she moved to Chicago and joined a Hadassah group for young women. Hadassah’s commitment to empowering women and funding life-saving medical research in Israel deeply inspires her. She shares her enthusiasm in engaging women throughout the country as the Momentum Alumni Engagement Co-Chair. While Hadassah is the primary focus of Luisa’s volunteer involvement and community engagement, she also serves on the board of the Deerfield Public Library Board of Trustees. She is committed to providing a place where community members can pursue their interests and continue to be life-long learners. Her community involvement is an extension of her professional work, having worked for several non-profit organizations in both fundraising and communications roles. She and her husband David and their two daughters, Rachel and Samantha, enjoy spending time together at home and traveling to national parks and creating memories.
